  • works great
Bought this cable to hook up my generator to the the house panel for emergency's. This cable is solidly built and thick, It will do the job nicely, no worries. Seen some pretty stupid and dangerous videos on youtube about how to do this please dont folllow them . i connected this to a special outlet for this type of cord and run 10 gauge wire through a conduit to my panel with 30 amp breaker. ... show more

  • Heavy Duty Cable
This is a well made cable with molded connectors. I am using it to connect my generator to a Reliant transfer switch. It works well.

  • Does what it is supposed to do at a great price
Perhaps I should wait until I need to really use it in an emergency, but so far all the testing I have done with my generator and breaker interlock shows that this cord performed as it is supposed to. Easy to lock in to the generator and inlet box, transfers power and seems to be rugged and durable enough for use outside. After getting many estimates from contractors with high material costs, I saved a lot by buying this and other parts on my own. ... show more

  • Should do the job
For a small portable home generator cord, which is what I purchased this for, it should work fine. I have also purchased Reliance, Gen-Tran, and Conntek cordsets for similar purposes, and they all appear to be of good quality. In most applications, these cords will see little use, and should hold up fine if stored properly and not subject to abuse. When I am installing an interlock for a customer, I check Amazon to see which of the brands I mentioned above is available at the best price at the proper length. I used to buy the cord ends and the rubber cord to make these cordsets myself, but at the prices Amazon is usually offering these units for, it just doesn't pay. Plus, I like having the molded plug ends rather than the replacement type cord ends. ... show more

  • Did my home test yesterday and everything works perfect. Sorry for any misunderstanding on my part
The Generac LP3550 generator does not have a 30 amp plug, it has a 20 amp plug. I always thought it was a 30 amp, so I ordered a 30 amp cord. Shame on me for not looking at the plug. I was able to find an adaptor for the 30 amp to a 20 amp plug. Did my home test yesterday and everything works perfect. Sorry for any misunderstanding on my part. J. Ruse ... show more

  • Great cable!
Very heavy duty, exactly what I want. Great to be prepared. I had a 10 footer which worked great last year for the 5 day's we didn't have power due to Sandy. That one was a little short for me but it came with the transfer switch kit. We were the only house in the area that had all lights and needs. Definitely a good investment. ... show more

  • Sparked/Arched and No Power
This cord sparked/arched and has a short causing it not to work! This happen the first day I used it. Unfortunately, I can't return it even though it was defective because I was at an event when I was trying to use it for the first time. When It sparked/arched I placed it on the back of my pickup truck and used my old shorter cord. When the event was over and we returned to the commercial kitchen, my employee thought it was trash since it didn't work and I had placed it in the bed of my pickup truck with empty boxes and he threw it in the trash compactor with the trash. Therefore, I can't return it but i'm not happy that I paid so much for it and it failed the first time using it!!! ... show more
