A little pricey for two quarts of oil and a filter, but our generator deserves the best. Oil change was easy. Nice to include a funnel (which I didn't use - it's paper and I have a plastic one that fits) and a oil mop rag.

    • Good Oil Kit but take care adding ALL of the oil
Good kit which includes all of the items required to replace the oil and filter in a Generac generator. The only item is that using all of the contents of the Two oil containers will over-fill the generator. A 20-26 kW generator shows to use 1.9 quarts and draining the generator apparently did not empty the oil fully including the filter. After a run time of 137 hours the oil dipstick shows the unit to be low on oil. As a word of caution check the oil level after an extended run time to make sure the oil level is within prescribed limits. ... show more

I'm completely satisfied with the seller. I got exactly what I ordered, on time, and way cheaper than it would cost to let the Generac dealer do the maintenance. So, good for them. I'm not so thrilled with Generac's ridiculously high price for oil, though. I went back over both the user manual and Generac's website. As it turns out, Generac branded oil is only recommended, not required. My dealer (and Generac's website) says any good quality "5W-30 synthetic oil that has an API service class of SJ, SL, or better" oil will do. That's what I'll use from now on. ... show more
