Using the gemstone sapphire dust instead of sand really makes the necklace unique and special. It is small; about an inch. The design is impeccable and has no imperfections. I was pleasantly surprised to see such better quality than what appears in the product description photos. I was specifically looking for an hourglass pendant with blue "sand" to give as a gift. The silver is shinier and the "sand" actually moves through the glass - nothing with which to measure time at all, since the piece is so small and the sand travels so fast through it, but it's a cute little piece nonetheless. Great for a mouseā€¦ This thing is teeny, tiny. Microscopic, very small. First picture is NOT on the chain it came with. It wouldnā€™t fit my neck. The second picture is me holding the tiny chain in my hand. The hourglass is not sparkly, itā€™s cloudy and not clear. I feel like I got bamboozled.
