I thought these were super cute and got one for my sister and my daughter. After I saw that the little diamond dust sparkled and flowed, I wanted one too! It was very cute on New Years eve. It would also be nice for an "over the hill" type gift. It isn't limited to those times though, but I wanted to post so you wouldn't forget to wear yours on New Years! It is small, you can see by the product photo that it is under and inch tall, but I think if it were bigger it would look weird and bulky. And I even like big jewelry. I have to admit the safe, cautious way they packed this item is nice... But that's probably because the metal is very thin, and will definitely bend and/or dent with the slightest impact. It's stamped 925 for sterling, but I have that stamp too y'all. With the price point, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt, especially as they obviously used such a thin sheet of sterling to craft the hourglass cage. The hourglass itself is adorable, and the diamond dust moves well from one side to another. But that doesn't take away from the overall cheapness of the piece, which is a shame. Do yourself a favor - buy a "cremation" hourglass, fill it with the gem bits of your choosing, and get a more substantial piece for half the price. ... show more
