I don’t think I’ve ever written a review and maybe because that’s because very few products actually do what they say they’ll do. This salve healed the cracks on my heels and softened the skin. It absorbs into the skin and doesn’t leave a greasy residue. I’ve tried other products but this is by far the best. Try it — you won't be disappointed. ... show more

This product is truly amazing for what it does for dry, cracked feet. Nothing works better. If you have a heel crack, when you put this on, wear socks overnight (yes…overnight…I know only psychopaths wear socks to bed), but you will truly wake up with much softer and less cadaver-looking feet.

    • Greasy, maybe helps a little
I bought these for my hands. He is our hands a lot in water and this was very greasy and difficult to grab onto things and uncomfortable. I think it may be helped a little but I kept wanting to wipe it off so I maybe didn't give it a chance

So only used it for 3 days day and night, and my hands are a bit better. Will religiously use the entire tube. I do dishes all the time (often can’t use the gloves bc husband punctures a tiny hole in one of them), sanitizing doesn’t help the skin, just being a mom, etc. So far, it’s ok. We shall see. BUT in terms of the smell, DAMN I absolutely hate it. It’s not gagging bad like a foul smell. It’s more of eucalyptus and a tire store smell. I’ll deal with the smell if my hands continue to get better. ... show more

I love this salve. If you have dry, cracked heels (and who doesn't in the summer as a result of wearing sandals?), this will soften them within just a few days. I also have a callous along the ball of my foot near my big toe that can become cracked and painful. This salve not only provides relief but also helps prevent future cracks.I keep a tube on my bedside table and apply the salve after I crawl into bed. I don't even wear socks. I first discovered this at a spa after I had a pedicure. The girl recommend it , and I've been a fan since. A strange sidenote: I walked through a backyard in sandals earlier in the summer and ended up with almost 20 itchy bites on both feet. I woke up in the middle of the night, crazy with itch. I tried 2 different topical products I had on hand that did nothing to relieve the itch. In desperation I grabbed my tube of Gehwol and rubbed the salve all over the bites.
