Great set of larger o-ring picks. They are very sturdy and feel comfortable in the hands.

Had a really bad contractor who I fired for horrible work. I was left with mosaic tile with 1/16" grout lines, but he never removed the thinset so that they could be grouted. We saturated with Sulfamic acid, numerous times, to somewhat soften grout. These picks just barely fit to remove the thinset. They do wear down, we went through 3 sets on a 5x7 area. They also will come loose from handle if you use them to pull pretty hard. They are way more ergonomic than dental picks, and the metal is lots stronger. I am getting a 4th set to just have handy to remove stuff from corners of painting areas, woodwork, etc, etc. Wish I had though of them before. After you give up on wire brushes and toothbrushes for cleaning stuff, try these. Every household needs a set!! As with tiny needle nose pliers, most people don't know they exist, but they all want mine!!!!! ... show more

These are really nice hooks/picks for the price. The new handle is very comfortable and really great for use with picks; having a little more cushion than typical handles, these seem to work very well for the type of movements required when using these tools. Very nice that they do come with tube protectors for the tips, but it would be a 5 star set if they can with a nice pouch. I'll have to find a canvas pouch or something to keep them in. I still like some of my smaller picks for more delicate stuff I usually do, but can't beet these for the money, very good value between $20-$30. ... show more

    • The PERFECT TOOL to remove old, hardened Espresso group-head gaskets!
Size: Cotton Pin Puller Style: New Version
Anyone who maintains a commercial or pro-sumer espresso machine should consider having one of these tools. While it is billed as a cotter pin remover, it is perfect to remove the scorched-in rubber compound gaskets that are used in the group heads of espresso machines to seal the portafilters when brewing an espresso shot. The rubber gaskets are continuously at over 212* all day and squeezed hundreds of times a day and as a result, they dry out and become brittle. Most maintenance people use an ice pick pointed up to try to break apart the gasket into pieces. That is difficult because there is just never enough room below to get a good angle for a straight ice pick, even a short one. This angled tool solves that problem! And it is STURDY. Unlike most other mini-hook tools the angled tip of this will NOT bend out of shape. You can easily pierce the old gasket and then pry out the pieces quickly and completely.
