I bought this product after going to a hockey trip with another family and seeing that they used it in the child's hockey bag. When we received ours the smell of the product was so nice(as I expected). I washed all my child's equipment so we were starting with half way decent smelling stuff...he is a goalie. After about a month most of the equipment once again smelled but the bag itself still smelled good. I feel that if you bought these starting with new equipment everything may stay fresher longer but all in all we are happy. We even bought some for his lacrosse bag! ... show more

This is a really powerful and effective deodorizer pod. You get two per package and they have velcro on it so you can attach it to the inside of your gym bag or shoes a bit easier without risk of it moving around or falling out. They will fit in any adult shoe size and acts pretty quickly. It deodorizes and the smell last for a VERY long time. I have yet to see the pod lose the strong scent. You just put it in and it absorb the moisture while giving the pleasant linen smell into your shoes. The smell last for quite sometime after use which is nice. It does not get wet and remains effective for a long time. I am not sure when I will be replacing this. Overall this is a very good pod to have. You can place one in each shoe and overnight the smell is gone and the shoes are dry out of moisture from sweat. If you happen to get your shoes wet this will not dry it out overnight. The pod is well made and should not break open. It is not too heavy but has some heft to it. I really love how the scent is strong and long lasting. ... show more

3 years in and still work. I put high mileage on my boots when i worked for USPS- I set these in as soon as I take my shoes off, and they’re dry and smell free by the next morning. Highly recommend!

    • Solved my shoe stink instantly (smells strong but not obnoxious and a definite improvement)
I don’t normally have smelly feet, but one pair of shoes I owned suddenly started to smell atrocious. It got to the point where I had to wash my feet every time I wore them because I couldn’t stand the smell after I took them off. I did some research and settled on this product, hoping to knock out the smell, and it was probably the best thing I’ve bought for myself in a long time. Not gonna lie, it does have a very strong scent, and if you are planning on wearing the shoes directly after use while sitting in a confined space, you will be able to smell it. However, it is definitely better than feet stink by a long shot. I would describe the smell as baby powder with a hint of lemon, it’s not too bad and doesn’t feel chemically at all. I should also mention that it doesn’t have a masking effect like some products (where you still smell the stink but now there’s also some sort of other smell mixed in). This product entirely eliminated the bad foot smell for me, to the point where I was able to stick my nose in my shoe after wearing it and not smell anything reminiscent of foot. Overall, great product, would recommend, it’s getting 4 stars though for smelling so strongly (but at the same time it’s kind of necessary and you should expect that with any product in this realm). ... show more

    • End of season and still no smell!
I waited until hockey season was over to write this review. These are the best deodorizer/moisture absorbers I have ever purchased in all the years my son has played hockey. His new bag is almost still as fresh as when we bought it at the beginning of this season. He received lots of compliments on the almost cologne-like scent of these deodorizers from his teammates. His gear doesn’t qualify as a bio-weapon and it barely stinks (we do hang it after every use, but still!). 100/10 cannot recommend these enough ... show more

    • Wonderful for hockey bags!
This is amazing for hockey bag stench. It’s Christmas break. I’m doing the hockey gear tub soak. I pull out the halo thinking time is probably up on this. I go to get the second pod out of the box, I see a “How to regenerate your pod.” Apparently 1 pod is good for the whole season! Throw in the dryer on high for 10 mins to regenerate the 1st pod!     • Gets the smell out of my work boots.
This is the only tool that managed to remove the oilskin reek out of my work boots. The scent it leaves behind is rather strong and chemical, but it is still a great improvement. Would definitely recommend.

    • OVERPOWERING SMELL
I tried these in my dance boots. I don't know if the "moisture removal system" was working or not. (With time the boots would have dried out anyway.) Big problem is that the pods' odor is so strong, it could have just been covering up the boots' sweaty smell. Another problem is their odor is SO STRONG that it gave me a headache and even upset my stomach. My closet took a week to air out from the odor. I finally had to put my boots out in the garage and wait for the scent to dissipate from them. Not a good experience. :o( ... show more
