  • Works well!
This stuff keeps my snorkeling mask from fogging up very well. I can usually go twice between re-applying it too. I just wipe my mask and forget about the fog. This stuff works. Better than spit thats for sure! Once I've been in the water for a couple hours and I notice a hint of fog, I simply put a bit more on and I'm fine for a while. For the price you can't beat it. A small bottle lasts me a couple years. Although I only go a couple times a year. I will purchase this again in the future! ... show more

  • Works perfectly
I’m still getting used to how to use this product, but it works great for eliminating any fog. The directions state to put the gel on your lens when it’s dry, and rub it around, then let it dry. After it’s dry you rinse off the residue but it can be hard to get the residue off. If you don’t remove all the residue you’ll be looking through a bit of a haze while diving. Just make sure you put it on when your mask is dry, and rinse it off adequately ... show more

  • Not Recommended For Airsoft Masks
I bought this for my airsoft mask (tac helmet + eye & face mask). It didn't work for me at all. During normal play (higher humidity) it had small amounts of fog. We then had rain and I was completely fogged over and couldn't see anything. I tried re-applying halfway through the games and it still did nothing. If your airsoft mask is mostly closed off and you sweat a lot this solution is not going to help and will be a waster of money. Before I buy a different mask setup, I'm going to try and vent & increase airflow into my mask to reduce the humidity/fog. I think that is probably a better solution. Overall, I still give this 3-stars because I was not using it for it's intended purpose (diving) and it might work well for that as other reviewers have said. But, for my mask purposes it was a dud. ... show more

  • Worked like a charm.
This worked perfectly. I use it on my inexpensive plastic snorkel mask, in the cold springs of FL, and it worked perfectly. Follow the directions and you should have no problems.

  • but am pretty decent swimming in the ocean
So I bought this anti fog gel for a recent trip to Maui. I am not a very experienced snorkeler, but am pretty decent swimming in the ocean. all the other times I have tried snorkeling fog in my goggles was what plagued me the most. It is such a hassle to constantly have to surface and clean the fog off of your lenses. by the time you do all the ocean life you were following has since passed. Then I was reading on a blog about anti fog techniques. Spit on the lenses, Yuck, plus i had tried that and it didn't last all that long. I read a review on M Essentials Sea Gold. I figured I'd give it a try. Wow what a difference. the beach we were staying at had pretty good snorkeling around the point, and so i was able to go out most mornings and wanted to stay in for at least 45 mins this stuff was fantastic! once applied you can dive as long as you want and never worry a bit about your goggles fogging up. The bottle says do not get in contact with eyes. I never had any issues with it. My goggles got some water in them several times and i had no issues with it stinging my eyes or anything. All in all I gave this product five stars as it was great and it totally changed my snorkeling experience for the better ... show more

  • Didn't work for me
Followed the directions and tried three different times and could not get this stuff to work. Mask just kept fogging up.

  • A little bit fussy to apply, works great after that
It's not simple to apply- you squirt out the gel, get an even coating of it inside your lenses (at which point they'll look like you applied vaseline to them), then give them one super-quick rinse (just a dip and shake underwater) before putting them on. The lenses do have to be dry when you apply, which is a pain since you can't just reapply if the lenses don't look right after your first application. It took me a few tries to get the technique down, but once you do, you'll know- I've never had my lenses stay so clear. I could see the shimmer in the water between warm and cold patches in the ocean (when the water was clear, of course). I had quite a bit of leakage in my goggles as well, but they stayed fog free through two one-hour dives. ... show more
