I was looking for a router and I found this one. I was a little concerned at first that it might be just some cheap router, but it definitely was not. The unit is pretty robust and fast. I like the fact that it had the fourth axis and the liquid cooled router motor. This is definitely a do-it-yourself router, in that you need to have patience and the ability to trouble-shoot. This is not a plug-and-play router. Of noteworthy attention is the spindle driver. Manipulation of the menu is required and comes by searching on the internet. The vendor was very responsive and did get back to me quite quickly. So I recommend this router as it cuts well, has plenty of power, and moves quickly. The way its built, I expect it should be able to do production runs no sweat. I already ran a production run of 200 parts with great success. ... show more

    • Well built machine, but lack of support
Machines is well built and packaged. Arrived in a week or so. Most parts are preassembled, and can be set up in a couple hours, which is a big plus compared to some of the kits. You just need to place and secure the gantry assembly on the bed frame, and connect 4 cables. You need to copy the software seller provided onto your computer that's connected to the CNC. Also need to copy the machine specific drivers into the Mach3 folder, so the computer can talk to the CNC. Seller doesn't seem to have enough technical knowledge about the CNC application, and had to rely on support from manufacturer, who seems not that interested in answering any technical questions slightly beyond the basic product information. I only had the machine for a few weeks. It came with absolutely no instructions or any paperwork. To be fair, the seller did post two videos that showed the installation process with minimum explanations, and it's based on a slightly different version, but still helpful enough. Other than that, you are on your own for anything from configuration to CAD, CAM integration. There are great potential for this machine, if you are experience CNCer, or have resources to get you started. If you are complete novice like me, prepare to spend some time to research yourself. ... show more
