These cups are medium weight and have comfortable/sturdy handles. I was expecting them to be bright white so they would match the plates I already have, but they are slightly off-white. The subtle color difference isn't visible in the picture but you can tell in person. They quality seems on par with ones I would find in my favorite breakfast shop, holds a standard amount of liquid not much else to say about them. Overall I am very happy with them for the price! These are good mugs for everyday use or to bring to the office. They are not large mugs if you like that big cup of coffee. The ceramic is also rather thin. So you have to be careful that you hold the handle and not the mug or you could burn your hand. They only come in white so no options for colors, which is disappointing. They have a nice sized base, though, so not as easy to knock the mug over as other styles. ... show more

The four mugs were packed efficiently in a sturdy box. After owning many kinds of coffee mugs over the years, I had little hope that these mugs would perform well when I took them out of the box. I was pleasantly surprised, and wrong, about my first judgement. I want a mug that has a simple design, is pleasing to look at, has a handle that is natural to hold, remains cool enough to hold when hot liquid is either microwaved in it or has boiling water poured in it; has a body that is thick-walled enough to keep hot liquid hot, but that doesn't burn my lips at the rim. This mug passed all of my criteria. I made tea in the microwave, with cold water and a tea bag in the mug, and microwaved it for 2 minutes, 15 seconds. When the microwave timer went off, the mug handle was cool to the touch, while the mug's body was very hot. I poured milk in the mug and waited a minute or so to drink the tea. While drinking the tea, the rim was very warm, but I could drink from it. The body of the mug was too hot to keep my hand on, which means that it retains heat long enough to keep my tea warm. I also made tea by pouring boiling water into the mug over the tea bag, and repeated the steps above. I got the same good results. I made drip coffee and poured the hot, fresh coffee into one of the mugs. I drink my coffee black. But all other steps above were the same, with the same good results. They are standard sized compared to others I have however they are thinner towards the top part of them making them a little fragile if you have a careless dishwasher in the kitchen. For me they are perfect and well glazed with nice large handles.

The handles are large enough to put a few finger through them and they're good and thick. A very timeless design and clean look to them without any gaudy designs all over them.
