Style: Squeeze Bottle
Whether I am rowing, running, or cycling, this bottle has become an essential tool in my routine for these reasons: (Pros) 1. It's simplicity - You just tilt the bottle, aim, and squeeze. Easy hydration. 2. Size - As someone who sweats profusely, carrying a lot of water is important. 32 oz. is a great size. The bottle allows me to carries plenty of water without it being too obstructive or awkward to hold. 3. Resilience - I've dropped and thrown this bottle plenty of times, it's still going strong. 4. Weight - On its own the bottle is very light. Bear in mind the weight of the water, however. 5. Cleanliness - The one way seal makes me feel confident that any surrounding dirt/water doesn't contaminate the internal water supply. (I'll still squeeze some water out towards the ground/water before I drink though) 6. Water meter - There's a thin translucent strip that runs along the bottle vertically that allows me to gauge the amount of water I have left. There are somethings you may want to consider before buying, though: (Cons) 1. Leakage - If you occasionally keep the bottle in a somewhat cluttered/filled bag which you toss around, random pressure can cause the bottle to release water into your bag. This can be mitigated by sitting the bottle upright, wrapping in it's own plastic bag, and/or not filling the bottle all the way up. 2. Scratches - It partially has to do with the fact that this bottle gets exposed to the bottom of a rowing shell, which is lined with a honeycomb carbon fiber material, but this bottle gets scratched up really easily. I usually insert it into a black ankle-high sock to prevent thinning out the walls of the bottle. 3. Rate at which water is dispensed - This is really an issue to most squeeze bottles, and it's probably not going to be an issue for most people, but when I'm in a rush during my workout waiting for air to refill the bottle before I can drink more water can be slightly annoying. It only takes a couple of seconds thought, I imagine most people won't mind. I'll occasionally remove the cap and drink straight from the bottle. ... show more

Water bottles are hit and miss in my family. My two boys (13 and 15) lose their water bottles with unfortunate regularity and have also had disasters with their water bottles busting open in their backpacks. The Gatorade bottles are pretty great. The price dips as low as $5 (for the green ones) and ranges up to $15, which is still pretty darn good. So, when I instituted the "You lose it, you pay for the replacement!" rule the monetary burden was not too overwhelming for them. More importantly, these water bottles are sturdy and the screw on top is secure. No leaks, ever, which is great for backpacks. I currently have 4 of these in my kitchen as I like to stock up. Love them and will never buy a a different brand again for my boys. They love them too, I guess because of the sporty look. It's a no-brainer purchase! ... show more

I use this at the gym all the time. Over time it will kind of leak from the lid. One thing is you have to keep it clean or it will grow mold. But if you wash it ever now and then it will work great.

I've purchased this multiple times and never get sick of it. It's the perfect water bottle for basketball practice or working out. It also is great if you wear a helmet for hockey as you can squirt it through the helmet holes without taking off the helmet.
