A good soft bag for par can fixtures. I use par cans among other fixtures to light my band with. This bag is well crafted, and has a narrow pouch on the front which is great for storing spare cables, and safety cables, ect. It has removable dividers, but I kind of wish they were sewn into the bag to stop them separating from the walls of the bag from time, to time. I think Gator could have made the Velcro strips that hold the dividers to the walls of the bag much wider to prevent separation during transit between gigs. It holds small par cans very well, but fixtures the size of American DJ's Dotz Par cans are a tight fit, and you'll only want to put two in each end of the bag, and a couple of smaller ones such as the American DJ P36, TSS (30 dollar) pars in the center spaces to prevent problems. There's plenty of head room in the bags so you can put your fixtures into the bag with the o-clamps still attached, along with power, and short DMX cables, as well as safety cable with no trouble at all. Just don't have the removable IEC power cables plugged into the fixture. It is a bit tricky to get the dividers in place, and make sure they stay placed with the Velcro. I'd recommend gluing the dividers in place if you don't intend to remove them. I do like that the bags have carry handles, and a shoulder strap. Makes it easy to pull the whole bag out of a flight case, or storage trunk when needed. Oh, I highly recommend you don't depend on any soft bag to protect your gear during tours. Put any soft bag into a flight, or road worthy case. However, if you're just on your own, as a soloist, or running a small local DJ / lighting gig, and don't have much else in the way of heavy gear in your vehicle, then the bag should be fine. You can store other gear, such as lasers, small dmx controllers like the ADJ RGB 3C controllers. Actually, you can put two of these controllers, with their power adaptors, and perhaps a few ten foot DMX cables, or a twenty foot cable into one cell of the bag, with a thin bit of foam between the controllers. I only wish the shoulder strap had been run from one end of the bag to the other, rather than from the sides. Kind of makes for uncomfortable carrying via the shoulders. I simply removed the shoulder straps since I'm going to be leaving the bag in a storage trunk, or flight case anyway.

I purchased this case for all my lighting equipment that I use for both videography and photography. I use a different case for my light stands, but this one does the trick for all the fragile equipment as well as all the accessories I need for any shoot. I love the internal padded separator as well as the soft fabric of the interior. The bag is very well padded and I never feel like anything stored inside will get ruined. That being said, I would not use this bag for checked luggage at the airport. It is not a hard case and will bend when thrown around. It's nothing against this bag, but more a reflection of how baggage handlers at the airports handle our bags. However, this bag would work great as added protection when placed into a hardened case for air travel. This bag also had excellent quality zippers. I always look for this in a good bag. Bad zippers are thin, not easy to open, and break often, or at least get hung up. These are great zippers that are big and have a wide "mouth". They are very easy and smooth to open and I know will last a very long time!

I needed a gig bag for band performances, and found this one from the same brand and line as my drum cases. It's a good size and capacity, and has dividers inside that can be configured using velcro or removed altogether. Small items can shift around a bit inside by sliding around or under the dividers, so things like drum keys, sizzlers, and other small items might work better in the front pocket.

Whoa. Bigger than it looks! I can fit a whole lotta stuff in here! Features semi adjustable dividers, there are only certain areas in the bag they will stick to (Velcro), but you can break any of them down to make the inside compartments larger. Pading is sufficient. Walls and zippers are plenty durable. It has both a tote bag-type handle as well as a shoulder strap. Overall, it's quite roomy and easy to carry as long as you don't overload it. Here' a list of what I fit inside, (about 30lbs worth) with much room to spare: -4 guitar stands -All my cables (probably about 100' worth) -All my pedals (3 of them). I've also put my whole Digitech RP500 multi effects in here! -Weber Mass 100 (yes I bring this to gigs) -Guitar covers (hoodies) -2 Shure SM-58 mics There is still a ton of room for all sorts of knick-knacks. If I had any more recording equipment, it would certainly go in here. 5 stars!

This a great bag for the money. I need a handy way to get my Yamaha EM7 mixer to the gigs. I also wanted a way to protect it along the way and something that made loading it in out a breeze. This bag is just the ticket! It fits the mixer perfectly and offers a reasonable amount of padding and protection without being obnoxiously bulky. There is also a handy storage pocket for the instructions and other stuff like set lists, etc. If you have a mixer of the same size this is the bag for you. Stop looking around and order this bag and get back to doing what you were doing!

Bought this to transport a Yamaha emc512sc mixer - it's difficult to find a reasonably priced carrying case for one of those. This one is just right. The velcro'ed dividers come right out, and the inside is padded and soft. The bag is sturdy, and the zippers are beefy and strong. Per other reviews, the shoulder strap is kind of useless - it's the one design weakness of this bag, but for my needs it's irrelevant, so I took it off. I have a bunch of Gator bags and they're all sturdy, lightweight and provide the gear protection I need.

This bag is the absolute perfect size for me to carry my hand percussion instruments, my vocal and horn mics and still has plenty of room for cables, patches and other gear, the side pocket is large enough to hold various things like batteries and other items. The reason for only 4 stars is that I wish the divider velcro would stay better adhered and the shoulder carry strap is lined up awkwardly and is taking some getting used to. But I still highly recommend this great bag! It is sturdy and rugged and a decent price!
