It works like the Honda OEM but costs less than 1/3 of the Honda. I have installed it in 2016 (10 years ago) and drove more than 100 k miles on it with no problem. I might get the same one to install it at 250 K now.

I was going to bring my car to the dealer for the timing belt change until I saw this kit. I ordered this kit as it is shown as a fit for my Honda Accord V6. Amazon delivered it in 4 days and it arrived in excellent condition. I was not surprised that it came with the Aisin tensioner and the Koyo idler and the tensioner pulleys. The belt is Gates brand but also made in Japan. I was a bit concerned that the timing belt is very thin but checking the old belt, it looks the same. I was a little surprise that the water pump is not Aisin like some others had stated. However, it seems good quality aluminum casting and the pulley is polished metal rather than the dull metal color from the picture. Upon further checking, I found that the water pump is identical to the AC Delco unit. I will take the AC Delco over the Aisin any day as AC Delco parts are usually made in the US. If I can get another 100K out of this kit on my Accord, I would be very happy. I was also surprised that the same kit will fit the Honda Odyssey as well. I had ordered some new tools to get this kit installed but I will wait probably until the fall to do that. It is too darned hot to work on the cars this summer with the unbearable humidity. Once I am done with the Accord, I will order another kit for the Odyssey. I think this kit is a much better kit than the Aisin kit which has a no name belt, probably Chinese knock off of Mitsubishi and an Aisin water pump.

Bought this kit to do a timing belt and water pump replacement on an 2004 Saturn Vue with 96,000 miles. Turns out this particular Vue has a Honda engine and drivetrain and that really boosts my confidence in this vehicle. Received the kit and it is high quality original equipment manufacturer grade. Included instructions were helpful and supplemented the service manual I had. Took me about 5 hours to do the install and the car is running just fine with another 100,000 miles in her future. This will save you lots of money if you are able to do the job yourself or by furnishing this kit to an installer there is a cost savings by purchasing through Amazon.

Waited 9 months to write review to make sure quality was good enough. All the components look OEM except water pump. I was worried about the water pump being aftermarket (at least it appears to be). Everything fit like a glove and has worked perfectly. I just wish replacing all these components in my 2007 Acura was easy. It was a total B*TCH to replace due to the extremely tight spaces. Will absolutely need the ~57mm socket for the crank pulley (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000TMLWQ/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_22). Order that on amazon too. Best $27 you will ever spend.

Bought this for our 08 Honda odyessey. Works great still! Hates is next best thing to aisin brand. This kit is best way to go to replace water pump while your in the engine area. Always replace water pump when replacing timing belt assembly. This is an interference engine. If belt breaks so does your engine. Pistons will collide with valves and engine replacement will be needed! Signs of bad belt tensioner will cause real loud engine sound, sounds exactly like a bad power steering pump whine. First make sure proper steering pump is good. If good belt tensioner is out and belt is flapping it around til it jumps timing mark. Replace this before it’s too late!

This kit includes everything I needed for the 105k timing belt service on a 2004 Acura TL. The parts all appeared to be very high quality and I have no worries that they will last for the remaining life of the car. My existing belt, bearings, water pump and belt tensioner looked OK when I pulled them off, but it is nice having the peace of mind that the new parts bring. I also replaced the thermostat and accessory drive belt when I performed the service, but you can probably get away without this. I HIGHLY recommend this kit to anybody thinking about tackling the timing belt service instead of dealing with sourcing the parts individually.

This is the kit you want to purchase when replacing your Honda 2006 V6 Accord timing belt, tensioner, idler pulley and water pump. All parts fit correctly and Gates has made the best quality belts for years. I completed the job 4 weeks ago and the engine runs great. Note: If you have problems getting that stubborn crankshaft pulley bolt loosened, use a pneumatic 3/4" impact wrench and a 19mm deep well socket along with the Honda crankshaft pulley removal tool which keeps the crankshaft from spinning (I used the Powerbuilt brand too).
