Tried them on and was immediately impressed by the fit. It's hard for me to find pants long enough, especially these type of pants as they rarely come in anything other than one size fits all, in terms of length. I ordered the 36 length, which is usually just about right for me (maybe a touch long, but I'd rather have long than short). I find myself rolling these up just a bit so I don't step on the back. I may order again, with the 34 length which I think will be long enough. In terms of my waist, I usually wear a 34 or sometimes a 36 waist and I ordered these in 34 and the stretch makes them almost perfect. In terms of warmth, I can't say they are EXTREMELY warm, but not bad. For example, I wore them this morning on my morning walk. The temperature was 24 degrees F, with a slight breeze. I had a base layer on underneath. As I stepped outside, I could barely feel the cold...and by the end of my walk, I was sweating. I'm anxious to try these in colder weather. Windproof seems OK. I've yet to experience anything more than a "breeze", so far. Where I live, the temperature can get to sub zero, with 30 MPH winds, so the wind chill can be 30 below 0 (or even much colder on occasion - Walked in -60 degree wind chill a couple times - I'm talking bitter cold). With my previous walking pants, it would take 3 layers to handle the worst wind chill. I suspect these pants will take 3 layers at that level too. And I do walk every morning, even in those conditions. So it'll be interesting to see how they perform. I thing 2 layers will handle everything but the most intense wind chill. Waterproofing hasn't been tested yet, but I'm fairly certain they are not 100% waterproof, but at least water resistant, which should help with snow, but not a downpour of rain. They are comfortable. I do wear a belt, as the "stretch" of the elastic can make them feel a touch loose. But very comfortable! I wouldn't call them "skinny" pants at all, but I would not call them baggie at all either. I have thinner legs and I feel like these pants hug my legs well (or at least better than most ). I don't like baggy when walking moving a lot. I've only had them about 3 weeks and wear them regularly when walking and wore them one evening inside. They weren't too warm inside, but it was cold in the house! I really like these so far and would recommend them.

I wore these during a two hour ice climbing event and they kept me warm and held up well. The weather was blustery with temps at -5F with the windchill. The pants really seemed to keep the wind out and were very flexible during the hike to the ice wall and while climbing. They seem durable and are very comfortable to wear. The front pockets are deep and the zippers on all the pockets work effortlessly. I'm 5'11'/160lbs with an athletic build and 32"x32" fit perfectly. But I didn't have much room underneath for layering which I really didn't need to do anyway. I like that waist band is elastic and also has belt loops. The fastening button was sewn on well. These are really outstanding pants! I bought black and would like to buy another pair in a different color but other than gray, which I really don't want, the color selection is just plain ugly. Wish the pants were offered in better color choices. If you're on the fence, just buy these!

I had ordered the size that my son takes. He always has a little room on the waist. These are pretty tight on the waist. The length is ok but the waist is overly snug. Other than that the material seems to be pretty good. And they’re warm.

I bought these for my son in high school and he loves them! They've already been on several outdoor excursions, including some fishing trips, and he attests to their warmth and waterproofing. He also said they're very comfortable for all-day wear. Admittedly, I was skeptical before my purchase since I usually stick to name brands when it comes to my outdoor gear. I'm glad I took a chance on these pants though! A great value so far, and most importantly, true to its advertised features!

Update (upgrading to 3 stars): I decided to keep them for winter hiking and similar activities. I’ve now worn them three times in temperatures ranging from -7°F to 42°F and I’m pretty pleased. I found them to be very warm with an appropriate base layer and was surprised to see that they hold up pretty well to a fairly stiff wind. I haven’t pushed their water proofing beyond kneeling in the snow several times to adjust my ice spikes while hiking, but the added layer on the knees seems to have worked-they didn’t get wet and my knee didn’t get disproportionately cold. Now to see how they hold up to time and use... Original (2 stars): The waist and length fit pretty true to size, however the design and leg fit is that of skinny jeans: the lower leg can’t even come close to fitting around ski boots. Since they’re being advertised as ski pants, I’m rating them a 2 since they completely miss the mark for their advertised function. That said, if they prove to be warm and waterproof, I may elect to keep them for other winter activities which don’t require the leg width skiing does.
