I'm writing this review after two weeks of ownership because people who write reviews after just receiving their product aren't giving it enough time to measure its true results. I actually should have bought the Garmin Venu 2 instead of this 2 Plus. However, it's still the best watch I've ever worn. The difference between the two is significant but differences I could have gone without. Also, the 2 Plus is $100 more. I purchased this watch because my Fitbit Charge 5 conked out after only a year. I bought the Charge 5 after my Charge 4 conked out after a year. Were these made to breakdown after a short period so you'd have to keep buying them? I was also unsatisfied with Fitbit's accuracy. The GPS is accurate when you're running or walking outdoors. The step count however, indoors is off by 60 percent (!). It seemed to count every other step. I've owned a Garmin in the past and it lasted well over 7 years and its accuracy whether indoors or outdoors was solid. So I thought I'd go back to Garmin just because of my past good experience. The biggest upside is that this Garmin Venu 2 Plus still had 17 percent batter life after 11 days of use and that included GPS and tracking my daily 90-minute exercises. That's impressive! Take that Apple! I also noted that the watch was accurate to 90 percent of my steps indoor. It faltered some in tracking my sleep giving me more sleep time than what actually occurred. The key reason I purchased this Garmin was the strong reviews I read on its heart accuracy, something that's important to my overall health now that I'm getting up in years. Although the Apple Watch is also well rated for its heart abilities, I just couldn't get around the idea of having to charge it up every 30 hours. Finally, the Garmin Connect App which tracks what your watch is recording is a step above Fitbit's. So far, I'd highly recommend this watch for multi-purposes and if you can't decide whether to get the Venu 2 or 2 Plus, just read about the differences and decide if the 2 Plus cost is worth it. ... show more

My job offers insurance discounts if I get enough yearly wellness points, and using a fitness tracker is the easiest method of getting points. I've had a fitness tracker before, something a lot cheaper. Stopped using it. It wasn't super accurate. I wasn't too happy about having to spend money on getting insurance discounts, but I figured if I was going to buy a smart watch/fitness tracker, I better pay for one that is accurate and has the bells and whistles to make it worth it. After spending some time using this watch, I don't know how I lived without it. As far as visuals, It's elegantly designed, the screen is responsive and a pleasure to view, and the interfaces are esthetically pleasing. The battery life is excellent. I throw it on a charger every 5 days or so but I could probably get a few more days out of it before it would run out of battery. The data is immersive, accurate, and very useful. I track my workouts, use the heart rate tracker during my runs, and sometimes use the "breathwork" activity to meditate and destress. You can make or receive calls on the watch, use it to find your phone, and use it to pay for things with credit cards. (Only about half of my credit cards were accepted to be put on the watch however, but its nice to have that feature available. Hopefully they continue to add accepted cards) Also, it has a fitness age that can be decreased by doing vigorous activity, having a low resting heart rate, and BMI. The fact that it uses BMI might be useful for a few people but BMI is a poor indicator of health for people who are dense/muscular. Anyways, overall I'm super happy with the purchase, and if Garmin continues to improve the Venu line with future iterations I would almost definitely stay with them. Switched from an Apple Watch 2 to the Garmin. I had issues with the my battery life after 3 weeks. It wouldn't hold a charge past 24 hrs. I contacted Play Better customer service and they sent a replacement right away! When I got the new Garmin, it needed a multitude of updates and kept freezing, so contacted customer service again and they offered to send another replacement, I opted to contact Garmin tech support since this was the 2nd watch that was having issues. It was resolved after updating it on my computer. Overall I would purchase from the this seller again! As for the watch, it was a learning curve after having an Apple Watch for so long. I had issues with the heart rate not reading correctly, but learned that the watch needed to be tight and secure (where my Apple Watch could be looser). The activity tracking is great, but again can be a learning experience. The screen is bright and vibrant, and I like the alarm feature. ... show more

I love the watch. The protectors were garbage. The first protector did not lay flat out to the edges - only in the center. I cleaned with alcohol, dried with the supplied cloth, used the dust remover. I thought maybe it was defective and tried the second one with the same result. I tried pressing it and still didn’t stick. The now has it has a little scratch ☹️. I have not tried the battery pack that came with the order. ... show more

I really like this watch so far, I love all the new peices of data, compared to my Vivo Active 3. The watch band is really good quality and the face of the watch is nice and big.
