  • Excellent watch!
This watch is the best fit device I’ve had. It’s easy to use and gives a ton of data such as sleep tracking, activity tacking and has a long battery life!

  • FABULOUS SMART WATCH!
I've worn three Garmin watches over the last 10 years and loved every one. But this one so far exceeded my expectations, that I'm absolutely blown away! I have very small wrists - it's very comfortable and I like the way it looks. I also like the choices of watch faces. I have mine set to be on all the time and I constantly play with it, so I only expect to get 4-5 days of battery life. But I'm ok with that. Measurement accuracy of sleep, breathing and SP02 are extremely accurate. The Garmin app for this watch adds so many new features to each category too. There's lots more to play with and I'm very, very happy with this watch! ... show more

  • Better than Fitbit but I don’t like the app
I have used a Fitbit Charge for around a decade because I’ve always liked more simplistic smartwatches and i don’t want anything too big on my wrist. I bought this for my dad to replace his Fitbit Versa and I loved it so much I got one for myself! It takes some getting used to at first but now that I have the hang of it I love it. It’ve very customizable too via the Connect IQ app. Now the negative is the Garmin connect app. It may just be because I’ve been so used to the Fitbit app for so long but I really don’t like the Garmin app. I don’t feel it’s very user friendly. It’s relatively easy to get the hang of but it’s not as customizable as I’d like. The biggest con in contrast to the Fitbit is trying to view historic data. On other apps that I’ve used (Fitbit, Myfitnesspal, Mynetdiary), the home screen shows today’s data and you can scroll backwards/forwards to view previous days and see the home screen with all the data for past days. You can scroll forever and ever to look at data. Garmin Connect doesn’t have that and it’s very frustrating in my opinion. All historical data is condensed into averages and graphs. You can view day-to-day metrics but it’s not as simple and you have to look under each activity specifically (like you cant look at sleep and steps in the same place for a past day you have to look at those categories individually) TLDR: the watch is awesome, the app is not ideal for me but may be fine for others ... show more

  • Almost Perfect!
I have been a Fitbit user for over 10 years, and when my Sense 2 began to lose the ability to hold a charge, I decided to upgrade to a Garmin smartwatch. There are so many things I liked about the Venu 2 Plus. For example: • It absolutely sips battery power. I only had to charge it once every 9-10 days. • The phone Connect app is great and very user friendly • The level of customization is stellar • The beverage tracker is great in that you can enter how much you drink via the watch screen itself and not just through the phone app. • Being able to actually answer or reject phone calls without having to take out my cell phone is a huge convenience • The display is beautiful, bright, and easy to adjust manually if you're not a fan of the auto brightness feature • The accuracy of the step counter and the Pulse Oximeter (which you can activate manually whenever you want. Nice touch, Garmin! :-) ) Why I docked my rating by a full star is due to the inaccuracy of the floor climbing tracking mechanism. It totally sucks!! Over the time I used the watch, I felt fortunate if it actually recorded half of the flights of stairs I climbed throughout the day. I read the instructions on the on-line manual, and I did go outside and recalibrated the barometic altimeter and the compass using GPS as instructed, but it didn't help very much. I also found the instruction in the manual that says "Avoid holding handrails or skipping steps while climbing stairs," to be extremely amusing. Accurate stair tracking is not so important to me that I will stop holding onto handrails and fall down the stairs just to up my watch's accuracy rating! LOL :-D I wish they made the floor climbing tracker like the beverage tracker. That way, I could enter flights of stairs that the altimeter missed and get a true count of floors climbed during the day. What do you think about this idea, Garmin programmers? I also am not wild about the band that comes with the watch. I found it to be thick and uncomfortable, so I went online and ordered some high-end narrow leather bands that work beautifully and are much less cumbersome to wear. I hope Garmin will eventually offer a wider variety of bands to their customers. So while the Garmin Venu 2 Plus is almost perfect for my use, the inaccurate floor climbing tracking was a deal-breaker for me. I figure for a watch that costs as much as this one does, all of the main functions should work more than 50% of the time, and especially one that I use the most. I am planning to buy the Venu 3 in hopes they have worked out that bug and it will track stairs more accurately. ... show more
