These seem to last a couple years before they start falling off in the hot sun in the summer. This is my third one. They should make them like Escort - a lot of effort to take them off!

Second GPS holder purchased for my wife’s other vehicle since she liked it. This way she can transfer her Garmin from one vehicle to the other without having to remove the holder too.

This is exactly the original mount and cup that comes with the GPS unit. Its a few dollars cheaper than buying directly through Garmin. Being the original it has the same issues of the suction cup not being great in high humidity and / or high temps. Recommend not leaving in window when not in use and in climates that are hot/ humid or long journeys checking every now and than to make sure the connection (to the window) is still secure. The mount to the GPS itself is great and has no issues. Also with the number of times it has fallen off the window, the mount and suction cup has never been damaged. ... show more

Seriously, this thing STAYS where you put it. I applied a thin film of moisture (bottled water) to the cup and applied it to the windshield. The suction was incredible and the lever actuator had not been employed yet! High quality construction and great value for the dollar. High recommend.

I ordered this aa a backup holder for my Garmin DriveAssist 50. Every once in a while I will forget to take the mount out of a rental car. I am deducting one star because unlike other Garmin mounts, this one requires two hands to mount your unit. The mount part does not have enough resistance to mount the unit as you push the GPS in the slots. It moves too easily never engaging the bottom snap. ... show more
