Color: Black Style: Base
Beware that you may get the APAC (Asian) model of the watch and not the ROW (Rest of World) from this listing. The main downside is that firmware updates (including bug fixes and new features) from Garmin will lag up to 6 months behind the ROW version. Additionally, Garmin may refuse to service your watch if you do happen to run into issues due to the version difference while living in a Western country. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK. THIS WAS NOT ADVERTISED IN THE ITEM DESCRIPTION, BUT IS WHY THIS LISTING IS CHEAPER THAN RETAIL/OTHER FORERUNNER 935 LISTINGS. ... show more

  • Perfect Trading Inc is selling non-US Garmin watches in the US
Color: Black Style: Base
Perfect Trading Inc is selling non-US versions of the Garmin Forerunner 935 in the United States. It will not be possible to update to the latest firmware if you get one of the non-US versions, so you will not be able to get the latest features and bug fixes available to US customers. Perfect Trading did agree that I could return the watch. However, I am still leaving a negative review because troubleshooting the issues with this non-US watch cost me a lot of time, and I believe a seller should do this if they sell grey market products in the US: 1) Clearly mark the item as a "grey market" product and say which region it was intended for. 2) Describe the limitations of the grey market product. In this case the latest features and bug fixes will not be available. 3) Explain whether or not the manufacturers warranty is valid for grey market products in the US. I know that some manufacturers do not honor their warranty on grey market products, I'm not sure what Garmin's policy is. I will remove this negative review if Perfect trading clearly marks any non-US products as such. ... show more

  • So glad I got the 935 instead of the Fenix 5...
Color: Black Style: Base
I first bought the Fenix 5 and 5s but returned them both. I just wasn't turned on by those watches as I had hoped I would. I then bought a Fenix 3. I really liked that watch but after a few days I just couldn't see my self running and biking with that thing. It's heft meant I had to keep that beast strapped to my wrist like a tourniquet! So I'm all sad because I was ready to throw down and be a Fenix fan boy when suddenly I start seeing comparisons to the Fenix 5 line and the Forerunner 935? Really? Really, so I got one and man I couldn't be happier. The 935 weighs half as much, does everything that a Fenix 5 does and has WiFi which only the Fenix 5 Sapphires do. Even the straps on this watch feel more comfortable than the ones on the Fenix 5/3. I can sleep with it on and it never feels uncomfortable. And the GPS and other features have been spot on (check the Garmin website Fenix 5 forums to know what I'm talking about). So if you're dead set on chasing the bling go ahead and get a Fenix, but if you will actually run and bike and hike your ass off like I do, definitely get the 935. ... show more

  • Careful of Model.
Color: Black Style: Base
I had a lot of problems with this watch and called Garmin for support. They confirmed that this watch was the Asian Market Version. Which doesn’t allow for software updates. Thankfully they are going to help me. Make sure this isn’t the Asian Market Version as you’ll be stuck with software and no updates available. ... show more

  • Item received was Asia Pacific model
Color: Black Style: Base
The item that I received was the Asia Pacific model, the back of the box is pictured in the photo. You'll notice that the GPS battery life is listed on the box as 21 hours, but the listing says 24 hour battery life. This isn't apparent in the listing, but please be aware that this may not be the same edition that you are expecting. ... show more

  • Asian software on the watch. Not supported in US.
Color: Black Style: Base
Warning. Without warning I received an Asian version. It would not update past 8.0. Garmin is now on 9.5. The watch face began showing "pixelated" display, froze and went black. It was a great fitness watch...up to that point in time!

  • One more annoying thing is I have to lock my watch when ...
Color: Black Style: Base
This is a 6-month review, I didn't wanted to write immediately as I wanted to check out the product for few months. I bought few quick fit bands and keep changing them frequently. I wear this watch during shower and no issue at all. Initially, my watch used to give me approx. 3 weeks per charge of battery life. But at the end of 6 months, it was giving me approx. 2 weeks per charge (I haven't changed my routine in last 6 months - so it not because I was exercising more). I mainly use this watch was running and biking and it gives me accurate information about my run or bike. Although I tried it 2-3 time for swimming (indoor pool) activity and it was way off. I have hardly swum 150m but the watch was showing me 900m. One more annoying thing is I have to lock my watch when I perform any push-up/exercise. The side button keeps clicking because of my wrist movement. I really like the screen, there is no glare in the morning even if you are in sum while it is true that you have to click light button in the night to see the time. It is not like Microsoft Band and Apple Watch that you rotate to see time and it lits up. But the saddest part was when one fine day I kept my watch to charge and usually it used to take few minutes (within an hour) to charge it upto 100%. But that day it took 3 hours to charge up to 40%. And watch was super hot. I removed it from the charge and it just turned off. After approx. half an hour it came back to life but was doing all weird stuff like starting a run etc. Later after 30 mins later I started to see a spot at the bottom of the screen (pixel were not rendering in that area). Initially, it was small by the end of the day it became big. I turned it off and even when the screen was off the spot was still there. It seems that screen pixels were broken. It is very sad to see a costly watch - wearable like forerunner 935 gave up on me within 6 months. I called Garmin support they were ready to replace it but won't cover any shipping cost as per their warranty agreement. ... show more
