I was pleasantly surprised with this garden tool set. The tools appear very sturdy and well-made. I have not yet used all of them, and some of them I am not sure if I will ever use. Of those that I have used, they have worked well. I have very rocky soil, so garden tools need to be strong and sturdy. I have bent or broken several over the years. Granted, it is early in the season still, but so far, I have not had any issues with these. I have used them to dig up stray clumps of grass, remove stubborn weeds, and plant seeds. I have not yet used them for digging holes for my transplants, but I feel like they will do a good job. My biggest complaint is actually with the bag. There are slots for each of the tools, but the bag falls over and will not stand upright once you put all of the tools in their slots. I wish it were designed better, but at least the tools are good, and that's the important part in my opinion.

The physical review reveals apparently well-made stainless tools. Each handle is well secured to the tool itself. The handles provide a comfortable grip and large enough for my hands but are too large for my wife’s (her hands are only about half the size of mine). It comes with three different types of shovels, a tool for weeding, a small rake, and a pruner. The appropriate tools are sharp. It comes with a nice carrying bag that is well made. As an aside, I mixed a batch of salt water to overnight soak one of the tools. I chose the saw-shovel as it had all the jagged edges and some minor pitting in a few places. I expected to find some rust spots this morning, but happily I did not. A small test to be sure, but it does bode well to the type of stainless. While the tang is well seated to the handle, it is only about ¼” in diameter. With heavy use, this is likely to be a cause of weakness. The edge of the pruner is not honed, it was rough-ground. This edge will need to be cleaned up with a sharpening tool prior to using it to prune my roses. As it is, the cuts will not be as clean as I want. Still, this is an easy fix and something I do to my pruning shears already. One notable item missing is a small pruning saw. They should delete one of the THREE shovels and add a foldable pruning saw, IMO. Pro: Two-year warranty. Decent quality stainless. Handles are comfortable for larger hands. Lots of tools in the bag, which comes with the set. Con: Medium-duty construction (despite the advertising being “Heavy Duty”). Missing attention to detail on cutting edges. Does not include a foldable pruning saw (but does have three shovels). The handles might not be comfortable for smaller hands. My take: While these are not top-quality, heavy-duty tools, the 2-year warranty makes them a tool to add to your comparison shopping. Without that, I would not recommend this because they are made in the same way as the other cheap sets I have owned—and tossed into the rubbish bin within a year or two. I will use this one heavily for the next few months and then update this review and let you know how the tools performed. Info: I try to provide an honest review of every item I receive. I don’t have a use for many of the products I have reviewed (you really think I needed four 6” chainsaws!). I simply want to provide a service to those considering purchasing the products I review.

The tools are actually pretty well made and sturdy. All worked as they should. The pruners are the typical lower cost type but at this price point and for the number of tools you get, that is to be expected. A decent pruner by itself would cost more than this whole kit. The bag works great for holding the tools along with a few other items inside. Altogether a nice, functional set at a fair price.

These are about on par with the cheap sets from the big orange store but do have more tools. I needed a spare set to keep with my starts and these meet that need, though I wouldn't use them for any heavy job.

This comes packaged in a product printed cardboard box with the individual tools in plastic sleeves and a few of the tools had a protective coating. The handles feel substantial and of a good quality plastic. The metal is stainless steel and none of the tool heads bend and the metal thickness is good. Not sold on this type of tool bag as having sharp edges pointing up and out if youngsters are around may not be the best option but the inside of the bag is large enough to have them (some or all) inside if you choose. That would leave the outside pockets open for the trimmer, a ph tester and other gardening items like ties/clips, gloves etc. With the bag being black, it won't show as much dirt but I kept finding myself wishing the bag was green lol. Personal preference aside, the bag is stitched well and seems sturdy.

This is a nice tool set for the home gardener. The tools look and feel like good quality, with comfortable handles, and sturdy enough to last, without being heavy. The storage tote provides adequate space for the tools, and the elastic band keeps them secure. The stitching looks good, although there are a few loose threads. The shears are sharp and cut well. Gloves are included, and fit well for someone who usually wears a large. Note that the gloves arrived with oil-like stains. The metal components are stainless steel to resist corrosion, and provides years of use.
