Description

The GARDENA tap connector for indoor taps is an ideal support for watering on the balcony or terrace. In combination with a garden hose, there is no need to carry watering cans. The hose adapter is quick and easy to install on a tap, for example in the kitchen or bathroom. A wrench is included so that the thread can be screwed on or off easily. Now the tap connector is plugged onto the thread adapter. By pushing in the orange slide, it is locked and allows the hose to be connected. To open, the gray slider is pushed in. The adapter is part of the Original GARDENA System. This makes the connection stable and watertight, and it is possible to connect any connection device to the hose. The water connection connector is compatible with all common water taps with M 24 x 1 internal or M 22 x 1 external thread (not suitable for non-pressurized or low-pressure water heaters). In addition, the tap connector for indoor taps is UV-stable and frost-proof.

Style Name: Angled Tap Connector
For this Gardena model 2999, the description should tell the countries for which this does/does-not work. It does not work on United States outdoor spigots (taps). The thread differs. The model 32998-G does work in the United States and I have used it since 2013, though it's not in stock at Amazon. (My 32998-G leaked after 8 years, so I removed its insert (thread reducer) then put in my new Gardena 2999, which now fits my tap.) The models 2999 and 32998-G look the same, but the insert/reducer threads differ. Oh, the insert/reducer color also differs. Indeed the picture of this product (which I recieved) is wrong -- the insert/reducer for 2999 is actually the same color (near white) as that end of the angled connector -- the picture is ACTUALLY for the 32998-G connector with a dark insert/reducer. I'm reluctant to give this a medium rating, since I'd give the almost identical 32998-G 5-stars -- I use these angled connectors almost daily for 8 months a year. I attach to it the "Gardena 8194 Four Channel Water Distributor Garden Hose Valve" from which I attach 4 garden hoses.
