Review for: Garden Rakes for Lawns Heavy Duty, 6 FT Bow Rake for Leaves, 17-Tines Metal Rake with Stainless Steel Handle for Yard Leveling, Landscape, Loosening Soil, Yellow. This rake has the longest handle I've seen on a yard tool. It comes in sections, so you can shorten it if you want to. I left one section out and it is still longer than my shovel. The rake head looks and feels solid. the handle feels a bit light weight, but it was fine during use. Assembly was easy. There are only two bolts (with nuts and lock washers) that need to be installed at the rake head/pole. The tools are provided. The rest of the handle is comprised of short sections that screw together. This makes assembly easy, but they sections do loosen when used. I don't rake with the rake head parallel to the ground all the time. It works good when raking flat (parallel). I use the ends to dig out weeds etc. When used like this the sections loosen. It is a bit of a pain having to tighten them back up. this won't be something I need to take apart, so I may drill some holes and add screws/bolts to hold the sections in place.

I'm not a huge fan of the "adjustable" handles that are just choosing how many sections to screw together. It makes the handle feel weak. I'm not sure that's as much of an issue with this rake. Once assembled, the handle feels solid, but a little too light. The balance of the rake is tilted heavily toward the head. With a wooden handle, the entire utensil has heft. Overall, the rake is lighter, so maybe that will even everything out. I took a star off because I really had to jam the lower handle into the head to get the holes to line up. The opening in the head needs to flare less or the lowest handle section needs to be tapered a bit.
