It is very sturdy and well built unlike some others that bend with the least amount of pressure. It has a good heft, and the handle fits well in my hand. It is stamped "stainless steel." The weld holding the tines together looks strong. Overall, it appears well constructed, with no parts loose. Tines are about 1/4 inch thick. I dug around in some loose dirt, but the real test will have to come in spring when the soil thaws, so I have not rated it on easy to use. Only thing not up to snuff is the coating on the handle has a small rough spot right where I will put my thumb. So I will need to use some fine sand paper or steel wool on it. Tag says "Made in China." Edited 2023/03/26: Without my asking, seller's representative contacted me about the above review and offered to send a new tiller tool. I protested that the defect was not that great and I could easily take care of it myself. He decided to send the replacement tool, and it is in good shape. Great customer service! ... show more

I live in Arizona. Most of us don't have grass. It uses too much water. Even if you do have grass, it's usually not a lot. We have mostly stones as our landscaping with a few drought resistant shrubs worked in here and there. While there's little grass, weeds always find their way into sprouting somewhere in the stones. This rake / tiller is perfect for scraping the layer of stones and pulling out the weed! It's got a very nice and ample handle, the metal is strong and there's a leather strap to use to hang this tool for storage. I received this and promptly went out to pull weeds.
