My vegetable garden is mixed loam and clay. I avoided climbing plants many seasons because they need to climb! I tried a DIY trellis using lumber and steel, but it's a beast of a frame and garden eyesore. So, I did my research for a better solution and bought the Montresor Cucumber Trellis. It's a 63-inch tall structure made of plastic-coated metal tubes with three arches and six cross-bars. It's simple and functional. Setting up the Montresor was straightforward. The assembly of the frame takes about 10 minutes but the garden installation can take another 30. . The standout feature to this trellis are the steel clips that lock the bars together. Nothing budges once they're secured-- great tension. Granted, figuring out those clips involved a brief learning curve until I realized the trick was to secure the hoop first, then bend the legs onto the bar for tight tension. The frame, made of thin metal rods joined by plastic, is functional but not flawless—some rods seemed prone to disconnecting, hinting I might need to reinforce them later. I also noticed that where I scratched the plastic coating during setup, the exposed metal could corrode. A bit of waterproof tape might be my next purchase to keep it viable for more than one season. On the plus side, the trellis came with extra clips and zip ties, more than I’ll need for one season, and I love that I can remove it at season’s end without cutting ties, with spares ready if needed. The trellis blends into the garden. Its minimal black frame and green netting seemed to vanish among the foliage, a far cry from my clunky DIY attempt. It’s as unobtrusive as a trellis can be, letting the plants take center stage. When it came to cost, the Montresor is fairly priced, delivering plenty of value, especially compared to the time and money I sank into my DIY disaster. Reflecting on my experience, I’d hand this trellis to any gardener, novice or seasoned, without hesitation.

This trellis was super easy to set up. The extra tall height is great for growing any kind of vining plant. I use this to grow vining vegetables. The trellis is well-built and goes together easily. I didn't experience any missing parts like some users may have. I found it to be a great price for a really nice trellis.

Bought this to use in our garden for our cucumbers. It was not an easy assembly. It took a couple of tries to actually get it assembled and it was not very sturdy while trying to put it together. It took quite awhile to get it completely assembled. The instructions included leave a little to be desired. The anchor stakes that are included are no where near enough to support it especially if you are in an area with any kind of wind. We ended up getting metal posts to help secure it in place. ( it does come with brackets to mount it to a deck or something but no good for a dirt garden ). So far it is holding up good and we do get a lot of comments on how nice it looks.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: It is not very sturdy. I expect it to last a season, two at most and that may be pushing it. Splurge for something more expensive if you want something long term because you get what you pay for. I have two raised beds that I needed an arch to run in the middle and connect the two so that I can train melons and other vining veggies to grow up. This took over an hour to put together and although simple once you figure it out, it ends up pretty crooked and not sturdy. You use clamps to fit each piece together so nothing is perfectly even.

AMAZING! I am genuinely mind blown by the quality of this product, the price I paid, and overall quality. For starters, it arrived quickly and very well packaged. Upon opening, I like that they placed all the pieces in one bag vs multiple packaging for each piece— 10/10 on sustainability. Instructions were direct and easy to follow. It was actually effortless to build and I experienced no issues. They even have a video on the original product link that shows you step by step how to built it. It is very high- I would say about 6ft or so. I’m 5’5” and can walk underneath it with no issues whatsoever. It’s super stable once it’s up, and has additional pieces to insert into the legs for extra ground support. Ideal for the garden! I am so excited to see how it holds up with vines/plants.

Absolute trash. The plastic elbows that hold the top arches to the legs are the cheapest, flimsy-est plastic the manufacturer could have chosen to use. All six broke during building process, and the trellis has no structural support. The entire thing will fold over and fall, even with all the metal bars in place. My return window is up since it was purchased prior to the garden being established. I should have just set my money on fire. It honestly would have been less stressful and wasteful. Now I have to either start from ground zero and build my own, or find a way to jury rig this piece of crap.

Great item for any kind of creeping plant. It's sturdy enough for wild grapes, which is what I used it for. Kind of gives off the vineyard vibe. It pops together like a tent would, so anyone should be able to handle it.
