One of the best GAP tees ever selected. This "nearly" has it all, its color is deep and rich, it's slightly oversized, allowing for that relaxed feel; it's versatile, wearing to the big game or on a free day at school, when a uniform is not required. This not only looks luxurious, but feels it too, with the slightly coarse, but somewhat smooth (100%) cotton material. Would this make a good gift? Yes, there is the GAP brand name and there is a hang-tag to corroborate its new. Is there any label(s)? Yes, tagless at the neck and multiple silk-like at the waist. Is it organic cotton? Nothing received suggests that it is, but that's okay. Is it recycled cotton? Nothing received suggests that it is, but that's okay. Is there a cotton certification? There is no certification [it's the one that looks like a cotton ball] but I believe it's as represented to be cotton. Was this OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Certified? No, which is too bad, as having such would make this beyond the high quality this already represents. What’s that? OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification – which is one of the world's best-known labels for goods tested for harmful substances. In my opinion, textiles, such as this tee, with this certification gives me confidence the product has a high safety threshold. I did “not” see that certification here. I prefer a child’s clothes have this, to give me peace-of-mind that the dyes used in creating this shirt was evaluated by a third-party for safety. Any irritations develop from using this? None, its oversized and very comfortable. Fit & finish? Excellent, not a thread out of place nor an unfinished seam. I like the ribbed neck and the side vents, which add to comfort. Breathable? Yes, (100%) cotton makes a difference. Any shrinkage? Based on my style of washing - conservative, and hang-drying, not using a dryer, I did not see visible shrinkage. Country of origin? Made in Indonesia. Date of manufacture? The sewn-in label made no reference. Weight? About (106) grams, which is about 3.7 ounces, it is consistent for a long sleeve sheet for weather that starts to reach cooler temperatures. Date received? Summer 2026, so, not out of season – I think the weight is on the medium side which the weight corroborates. Weight? (222) grams, which is over (7) ounces, this is over 2x the weight of a typical tee, which corroborates its heavyweight claim. Is this perfect? No, see above, but I really like it. Value? Considering all of the above, I opine having received solid value, sorry, but for my wallet its more premium priced, but I am not taking stars away, I knew what the price was during selection. Rating? For me, based on the totality, this T-Shirt is a weak five (5) stars. If this was organic cotton and OEKO-Tex 100 certified it would be better than a five (5). I really like the side seam label. I hope my thoughts and experiences added a bit of information.

Slightly elevated shirt look for boys - I like it!

I like this relaxed tee on my son a lot. It's a heavyweight shirt and gives the shirt a feel of luxury. I like the way the shirt isn't super light and flimsy and the striped pattern isn't overdoing it and gives a touch of color and fun to the shirt. It's quite comfortable too since my 6 year old son enjoys wearing it.

As described, heavyweight tee

This tee is as described, a heavyweight tee. It has a seam running along the chest and back with stripes on the sleeves, so it's a football style tee. The large logo is a little much for my taste, but my son likes it - especially as it's in his favorite color blue. I got him a size L and he's 11 and on the taller side for his age. I like that it's 100% cotton so it's breathable. Good quality and looks like it will last.

Looks great, fits great!

Comfort: The shirt is 100% cotton and my son says its very comfortable. He's worn this 2 or 3 times now, for both after school programs or just around the house and he tells me its very comfortable and despite being a thicker material, it breathes well and handles the summer heat pretty well. Fit: My son is 10, almost 11 and I ordered him the large. Its a tad big but I feel it fits appropriately based off the size chart. Look: Looks great, this has an 80's jersey type look that I really like. He looks good in this and has that classic 80's style to it. Durability: No issues just yet. My son can be particularly hard on clothes, mostly shoes and pants, but as of yet we havent had issues. Upon arrival, no loose threads, no quality control issues. After washing 3 times everything is holding up great, no fading, again no loose threads. Overall this feels like a very durable long lasting tshirt that Im thinking will be around long enough to pass down to his 7 year old sister when the time comes. Overall, Everything you could hope for and expect. Solid build, looks great and comfortable to wear.

Great quality, comfortable tee

This is a review for the GAP boys short sleeve heavyweight relaxed tee. I am a fan of GAP brand quality and this shirt is no exception. It is a heavyweight tee but it is not scratchy or stiff as some heavyweight tees are. My son is sensitive and he liked it, but it is a thicker fabric so if that bothers you, just be aware of that. The navy color is richly saturated and the white decal is well adhered and doesn’t look prone to peeling and cracking. My son is about 5’1” and 100 pounds. He has the largest size so that he has some room to grow. It fits him a little loosely but I’d say it’s the correct size for him. . The seams are neat and tight. It kind of has the style of a vintage football jersey and looks pretty cute on. I would recommend this quality tee for anyone looking for this style and the quality that gap is known for.

Heavyweight tee with a bold look

This Gap Boys' Short Sleeve Heavyweight Relaxed Tee is definitely a heavier fabric than I'm used to finding in a t-shirt. The material is still soft and has some stretch to it, which makes it comfortable to wear. I appreciate that it's 100% cotton, and it does seem like it will be very durable and hold its shape. It's too warm for Florida summer, but it will pair well with sweat shorts or a hoodie and jeans when the weather gets cooler. I ordered the XXL for my tall 11-year-old son. It looks a little oversized on him, but that's mostly because of the relaxed fit and drop shoulders. I also tried it on, and as a women's medium, it fit me with the same drop shoulder look but was more fitted through the body. For reference, my son is 5'2" and about 112 pounds. My son isn't completely sold on the navy, cream, and yellow stripes, although I think they look nice on him. It's definitely a bolder style than a plain T-shirt, so whether or not you like the pattern and overall style will come down to personal preference.

Fabric heavy weight!

I ordered this for my son. It is a very heavy weight knit material and seems to be good quality. The colors are nicely saturated. It fits true to size. The length is a little shorter than my son likes but should still work. My biggest complaint is the price. It is not a good value at the listed price. Otherwise I am very happy with the shirt.
