This is a pretty good desk from Lkeiyay. I chose the 47" model, which has a 30.75" wide opening for your chair and a desktop depth of 19.75". The desktop isn't particularly deep, especially if you install the monitor riser panel (which can be left off but will expose some metal attachment points on the surface). The desk uses a 2 cm square metal box framing around the outside edge of the 0.5" thick wood desktop to give more rigidity to what's not a particularly thick wood panel. The wood-framed drawer rests on L-shaped metal support sleds attached to the frame with nothing to help the surfaces glide or slide, making the drawer feel extremely scratchy every time you operate it. I hope to find some Teflon tape or other material to mitigate that. The included LED strip is about 1.5 ft long with a non-illuminated lead and control box that allows it to plug into the USB A port of the desktop power outlet. The remote does not come with a CR2025 battery needed to fine-tune colors, set up illumination sleep timers, and adjust brightness. The parts of the desk arrived flat-packed with enough surrounding styrofoam pieces that nothing was majorly damaged despite some dents and bumps to the corners. Some of the wood pieces have some scrapes but not in any places that were too visible. The instructions advise not to tighten all the screws until completion, but this doesn't quite align with how step 2 covers up fasteners by joining the seating area half of the frame to the drawer area half of the frame. You'll wish you had tightened those particular center metal frame fasteners before covering the screw heads. I assembled the desk over a few days, tackling a few steps at a time to keep the process low-stress. I used my own exchangeable bit ratcheting screwdriver to avoid using the provided Allen key except for steps with minimal clearance. Once everything was together, I made minor adjustments with the leveling feet to prevent the desk from sliding on hardwood floors. I ended up omitting the monitor platform in favor of being able to install a monitor arm, but I did have to drill a hole through the wood desktop because I wasn't comfortable with the C clamp mounting mechanism being able to reach over the metal frame.     • Surprisingly great light duty computer desk

I go t this for my son and it arrived this afternoon, only took me 45 minutes or so to assemble it, and it was done. It is well made for what it is, the parts are all pre drilled and well labeled, and the kit even came with a small screw driver and allen wrench to use for assembly , plus extra parts if needed. There are a few little quibbles I have about some of how the bracing works, but overall this is a great little desk, I swapped my son's rickety little desk out while he's out for the night and am excitied to see his reaction when he gets home, it's a great upgrade adn the LED light strip is anice addition for extra flair, however teh remote for the LED lights does not come with a battery, it takes a coin cell type, probably a 2032. The included built in power strip is a nice addition with 2 outlets and 2 usb ports. This desk is a win, ... show more

This Lkeiyay gaming desk is pretty nice overall, but I do have a couple of concerns. Starting with the good: I love the power strip. It is always nice to have extra power at my fingertips. I love that the power strip has two USB outlets and two electrical outlets on it. That will make it handy should I need to charge my phone or plug in any extra powerd items such as a camera charger or a light. I really appreciate that I won't need to try to go under my desk to fumble around and find the power strip, because the manufacturer included a power strip for the top of the desk. This is a big plus for me as I have a bad back. I love the light strip under the monitor stand. this conviently plugs in tot he USB port that is included with the desk. I love that I can change the colors, and love that the light has different settings (using the included remote). The light strip itself has a button that you can use to change colors, but for the other features you will need to use the included remote. Using the remote, you are able to change colors and/or leave the lights on using one of the timer features. You can also set the lights to change colors to music (kind of fun). You can adjust the brightness and the speed in which the colors change to music. There are also other buttons, but I haven't tried those out yet. There are two hooks that you can add to your desk that you can use for cable management or to hold earphones, ect. I appreciate that I was able to turn the hooks inward instead of leaving them pointed out. I have another desk that this desk sits beside so being able to point those in was a plus. Those hooks will come in handy. I appreciate the added drawer and tower shelf. I have already filled up the drawer and moved everything from my old desk to this new one. Because of the drawer, the top of my desk will stay a lot cleaner (maybe, lol). Also being able to get the tower off the top of my desk has also cleared space for me. My previous desk had a pull out keyboard tray, and this one doesn't. I don't think it will be much of a problem though as I can neatly tuck the keyboard under the monitor shelf. It looks good tucked under there when not in use. So far it's not bothering me to use the keyboard on the top of the desk (time will tell). There are also adjustable feet on the desk in case your floor is uneven, so if you are getting some wiggling, adjust the feet of the desk and that should help. The cons of the desk are few. My husband and I felt was a bit difficult to put together. My husband and I are NOT novice when it comes to assembling things like this. It took us a good 90 minutes to assemble. We had a problem with the screw holders that are seated inside the metal frame (the tower and drawer frame). Everytime we tried to screw in a screw from the main part of the frame to the tower frame, the metal pieces that sit inside the bars (the piece that holds the screws) would pop out. We were NOT overtightening the screws. The metal screw holders are not soldered to the inside of the bars, so they kept sliding out on their own. I did put a photo on my review where you can see a small piece of silver metal sticking out between the front right side of the frame and the top of the drawer frame. This popping out gives me pause as to how long this desk is going to hold up. I would think that gamers do a lot of shaking of the desk when they are gaming, so I'm not sure how well it will hold up to gaming. I am not a gamer, so I'm not too worried about it losening up too much for my use, and I plan to keep an eye on those seams. Maybe I just got a set of metal bars that somehow missed geting soldered? I'm not really sure, but that really is my only concern with this desk. One slight concern is that this black desk is a fingerprint magnet (see photos). There are fingerprints everywhere, so I will need to see if I can wipe it down and get rid of them somehow. I may put a desk pad down to curb that, so it's not a major concern. This is a really nice desk. The drawer holds quite a good bit of supplies and belongings. My at home office is relatively small and this desk is the perfect size that I needed. I love the LED Lights that it comes with. It's definitely a really nice add and it's so soothing when I'm having a very busy day. Overall, it took roughly 45 minutes to assemble the desk. Thanks to the instructions being clear and concise, that time is minimal for such a great product. The end result is that this desk is perfect. I love the black color and the size of the drawers. The power outlets are perfect, as well. It simplifies the need for an extension cord to have all of the cords in one place. I'm very satisfied with this desk because of the great quality, features, and space saving options that it comes with owning it. ... show more
