  • Low Lag, buttons mushy, can use a couple updates
Size: X2 Bluetooth
Honest review, I love this thing. I want to see it improve. Overall changed how I view mobile gaming and its sweet! I noticed a few revuews mentioning squishy buttons. As it so happened mine suffered the same issue. After buying and trying everything including the kishi, I found this to be the most comfortable and responsive. So what did I do? I did a tear down. I found the issues. 1) The pcb board has 4 screws. These screws aren't aligned across from each other. There is a plastic molding supporting tbe plastic outer shell but that minor gap between the pcb board and outer shell cause the pcb board to flex. 2) FLEX. The pcb board is actually very thin. Repeated whacks of a button can cause it to warp out of position and alignment with the buttons. Even the right thumb stick causes it to warp when inspected. 3) The small magnet below the button is shaped like the tip of a pen. So after repeated use the rubber wears away from its original contact point. That little click you hear when you press down on the button is made by this very small and precise magnetic input. Should I give up on the device? NO, Not Yet. If my buttons were to stay squishy and sometimes unresponsive I'd never use this device despite how awesome it's layed out. The fix: Advance Users - This voids warranty. 1) Tear down system 2) Remove pcb board. 3) Remove buttons (beware trigger springs that may pop out and require placement upon placing pcb back. 4) Take thin paper and fold it. I used a shred of cigarette box, can be anythjng thin and foldable. 5) TOTALLY Optional - As absurd as it sounds. Remove the buttons and pull them off the magnets. Look into the silicone shell with the magnets attached. Take glue, your choice if glue, I used low grade house glue, and place a micro amount down into the silicone molding. Then attach the plastic button on top. Push down on the button to get the space inside to fill and stick with the button. By doing this, that little pen sized input is closer to its original input location. Making that click respond way better. I have it working even better than new, imo. Mu buttons are slightly raised, click and now respond. I Hope the maker can increase the pcb board thickness. Remove the gap that is really causing the issue for those with squishy buttons. And increase the size of the buttons input, in other words made it fatter in every way on the right half. Most won't have issues I bet. It's a great product and is league's ahead, but if lil things like this can be improved than this'll remain imo a great product. I'd likely buy it again, unless the next year's retro gadgets topple premium phones....never know ^.^ ... show more

  • It's decent for what it is
Size: X2 Bluetooth
Test Games: Fortnite, CoD, PubG, Creative Destruction, Honkai Impact, Genshin Impact, Life After, Marvel Revolution, Dragon Nest Mobile, Raziel, Soulworker, Black Desert Online & Hundred Soul So I have purchased a ridiculous amount of Android controllers & quite a few gamesir devices. This is overall how I feel about the X2 Cons: A. Such a narrow body with no extended grip, I do understand this was made to be as portable as possible so extended molded grips on the side would have made it overall more bulky. but seeing as it comes with a carrying case I don't see why 2 modular slip on grips would have been a problem. B. The A button is so close to the stick with medium or bigger fingers you will be putting a bit more effort in in hitting the A button right on the money without accidentally tapping the left stick. It is much like the Nintendo Switch Joycons, but nintendo made sure to give a bit more distance between the left stick and B button. C. Barely fit S21 + 5g 6.7 Inch phone, had to remove case in order to fit. My Ipega 9167 was able to fit this phone with it's case on and 90 degree USB-C charger cord plugged in and still felt more secure than the phone does in the X2. At this point in time with all the large phones like mine you would think they would have at least went to 200mm or 250mm telescopic range vs 173mm. D. Gamesir software functionality is 50/50 sometimes. And with the cost of most gamesir devices like this you would expect better software. They are still behind IPEGA & Flydigi in this aspect. In GTouch Mode some games like Fortnite can still sometimes detect this device as a regular controller even if you have properly put the device in GTouch Mode. Right look stick is not always smooth in SOME games but more like a person tapping rapidly in a direction. Whereas Shooting Plus V3 (Ipega) & Flydigi Game Center (Flydigi) has a more natural, much smoother & steady look control. Pros: A. They have stepped away from making users having to turn on USB debugging for mapping (Gtouch) to work on the X2. I had to enable this on a Gamesir T4 Pro in order for mapping to work. This is important because some games (Fortnite IE) will not run with USB Debugging on (as part of anticheat). B. It has a carrying case with an inner flexible strap to keep the controller held at the bottom of the case so that the joysticks are not taking a beating bouncing around in the case. C. The GTouch software even though not being great, has a very simple to understand interface. Whereas Shooting Plus V3, is great software but very difficult to program properly. And Flydigi software being the best and most versatile ... show more
