This is a high quality build. It is very heavy. We got this for our 15 year old son who is a huge lightsaber fan. This is not a toy, but the price tag already makes that clear. It comes in a nice plastic case. The blade comes separate but is easy to attach.

I read some of the other reviews about theirs being unauthentic. This one I received was definitely authentic. We had already purchased another lightsaber at Galaxy's Edge and this one was completely in line with quality, the same case/markings, and authenticity. It fits the real Galaxy Edge light blade (not sure official term). Just remember to remove the black cap within the handle to fit the blade. If you get Luke's saber, there are 2 pieces. One is used as a display for use without the blade. Remove that with the skinny end and the lightblade should fit perfectly. You also know it's authentic because it will turn the blade the correct color. So for my other Luke saber, the blade was green. For this one, it was blue (again same light blade). This one sold for $20 more than what I paid at Galaxies Edge. For me, flying it home and park entrance fees make it totally worth it. If it isn't authentic it's a REALLY good fake. They don't sell this one at the park anymore which is my motivation for purchasing. ... show more

i had been skeptical that it would be a show item only but it feels like my savi saber and works with its blades too. absolutely worth the money its cheaper than flying out there and getting into the park all together.
