I decided to get this trio of blue, orange, and yellow Gaga balls because the school I work at has a Gagaball pit and the balls my students were using at recess were not the proper type. Not the usual color selection, but whatever. Some non-Gaga balls were too light and flew way too quickly. The balls ended up being launched over the fence (or on roofs). Others were too hard and could hurt the kids in one way or another (at one point even a basket ball made its way into the pit and our staff had to put a stop to it before something unfortunate happened). Now this trio of “official” Gaga balls literally has the instructions labeled in large font printed on each ball, and the 2-lb psi inflation instructions in small print. They have a tough enough rubber hide for durability (and keep it from popping), yet it is not hard enough to hurt much when hit while attacking or being blocked while defending. Weighty enough size to slow the ball down to a decent speed, but just fast enough to keep the ease of use moderate, as well as the kids’ competitive spirit going. Of course the balls come deflated, as they very well should. But I was pleased to see that this came with a hand pump and that there was even an inflation needle mounted in the handle. Sure this was probably going to take forever to inflate had I not had an electric inflator on hand, but just knowing that this was included was a good thing to me. Since the balls were new, I did notice they had a powdery rubber smell, but that too was to be expected. In conclusion, this set of playground balls fulfills their role well at our school. I am still not entirely sure other people will think that this set is worth the value, but for me I think it was worth it. My students are happy with it and are safer. Well, now if only they can keep from fighting over it.

These are good quality sturdy balls and ideal for gaga balls. They are much better than another brand we’ve purchased on amazon. These balls are thick and not too bouncy - just right for gaga.

These playground balls are so cute. I got them because my neighbor’s older kids have basketballs that come over to our place and having a unique print can differentiate between them. I only inflated the cat ball and decided to save the rest when this one gets lost. The air pump is super useful and can be used for basketballs too.
