Features

  • Adaptive Radius Technology - gives you maximum tuning stability by mechanically matching the curvature over the strings in ANY position, on ANY guitar neck (steel string acoustic, electric or hybrid nylon).
  • Unique Tension Control - By simply squeezing to attach and squeezing to release, the Performance 3 capo gives you complete and intuitive control over the pressure you place on your strings, meaning you can have confidence that you are in control and will keep your guitar in tune.
  • Easy to use - Designed for one-handed use, in any sized hands. With a little practice it's nearly as quick to move between frets as a spring capo, but without the need for frequent retuning.
  • Versatile - Perfect for any steel six-string acoustic, electric or hybrid nylon string guitars. Stores easily behind the nut for quick and easy access, or on the headstock.

Description

The G7th Performance 3 capo is the culmination of years of designing, tweaking, and improving - but most importantly, listening to guitarists and their views on what a capo should do. Now, coupling our unique tension control system with the ground-breaking art string pad mechanism gives a near-perfect capo experience.

  • Initially skeptical but worth the cost

  • Very nice quick capo - perfect pressure
Color: Black Style: Capo
After decades of using my old Kyser quick lock capo, I decided that I wanted something a bit better. I'm glad I chose this one. The mechanism allows you to easily squeeze the capo closed in the desired position and only apply the amount of pressure you choose. This doesn't throw the tuning so out of wack as a very tight capo. So, theoretically, you could use this at a gig with only one guitar and only need minor tuning adjustments when putting on or taking off the capo. I've successfully used it as high as the 10th fret on my acoustic. ... show more

  • It works great!
Color: Black Style: Capo
I was skeptical due to the cost but I’m now a believer. This capo works so much better than the spring type. I do still use another clamp type capo occasionally but this is now the go-to unit.

  • Much better at maintaining tuning
Color: Black Style: Capo
This capo is way better at keeping my guitars of various fretboard radiuses in tune. I’ve used it on 7.25, 9.5 and 12 and the results have much better than my basic capo I’ve had for years

  • Great Capo
Color: Black Style: Capo
I have always used the Kyser capo's for all my guitars. I recently purchased a Godin A6 Ultra, which uses 10 gauge acoustic strings, and the Kyser capo's, not matter where in between frets it was or how it was positioned, would make the guitar go out of tune. It would go out of tune so bad the guitar wasn't playable with the Kyser capo on. I did a lot of research and tweaking to my Godin, but nothing was helping. I could have used thicker strings, which I tried, but the Godin didn't like anything thicker than the 10 gauge. I read an article that talked about this G7th Performance capo, which at first just sounded like an advertisement because I was very skeptical a different capo would fix the problem, especially because it was much more expensive than any capo I have ever purchased. So I researched this exact G7th Performance capo some more and found that many people were saying the same thing about how great this capo is. So, I ordered one figuring I could return it if it didn't work. But, it DID work, and works really well. I can capo any fret and the guitar stays in tune - it maybe goes out a little depending on the fret, but good enough that the guitar chords still sound good. You still (at least on my Godin) have to take a little time to figure out exactly where the sweet spot is as if it's a little out of tune, you can move the capo a little closer to a fret or further away (more in between the frets) and that puts the guitar back into tune. And a little time is needed to figure out the 'sweet spot' of the tightness the capo needs or you may get a little fret buzz if it's too loose, and it might go a little more out of tune that you'd like if it's too tight. All and all, this is a GREAT capo. I'm very satisfied. I do play acoustic shows about every weekend so I have put this to the test. The only thing you want to make sure you do is keep an eye on the capo and don't forget it! It's an expensive little piece of equipment to leave behind! Hope this helps. ... show more

  • Worse performance than a Kyser Quick-Change capo
Color: Black Style: Capo
I had high hopes for this product, but I was very disappointed with its performance. I've been using Kyser Quick-Change capos for years, but they often require a little retuning, and they work inconsistently with multiple guitars. I hoped that the G7 would solve these problems. However, after trying the G7 on three different guitars -- acoustic and electric -- I found the results were all worse than the Kyser capos. Even after significant pressure, I had problems with string buzz when using the G7. When enough pressure was applied to minimize string buzz, tuning issues similar to those encountered with the Kyser occurred. While it might be possible to eventually fix all of these issues, if the G7 capo is that difficult to use, then it's not worth it. In a live performance situation, equipment that must be delicately fiddled with is not worth using. ... show more
