Small cameras like this make me a little nervous since I have big hands and they are sometimes difficult to hold on to. Purchased the black version of this silicone sleeve off Amazon and I'm very happy with it. Not only will it provide protection if dropped but it makes the camera more grippable, if that's a word. Now you do have to take about 45 seconds with some small scissors or an X-acto knife and enlarge the cutout for the lens ring to make it more accessible but this is a very easy fix so not sure why people on here are griping about it. I suppose if they want to send me their cover I'll have my five year old granddaughter do it for them... All in all this is well-made and cheap insurance against camera damage and like I said it also makes it feel more secure in your hand. FIVE STARS!

Wow! This fits my Canon G7X MII perfectly! I just took it out of the box and fit it to the camera. I am totally impressed with the fit and accessibility to all of the controls. I love the way the flap that covers the lens opens when the camera is turned on. Even though I just got it I am so happy with it I wanted to write the review immediately for those who may be looking for something like this. I see no reason why it wouldn't hold up with use. Seems to be a fantastic product. If I have issues moving forward after using it a while I will revise this review.

This is perfect for someone like me! I buy protection for everything haha. This fit my G7X perfectly, it’s silicone so it does collect lint but not too bad and comes off with a wipe. I love the protection. Only thing was the lens cover, it worked perfectly and was satisfying to watch lift open when the lens pops out but it affected the flash and created a shadow so I unfortunately had to take it off. But I’m glad to have this protect my camera from searches and doesn’t add bulk

The biggest complaint I have, and since the 3 stars, is that you can not use the lens ring dial with this case. There is a slit opening around the lens ring apparently for using the lens ring except that it is totally inconvenient to use such a small opening to turn the lens ring. I guess if you were using the auto modes only you would be fine but some of us like to have more control with the AV, TV or M modes and the lens ring dial becomes a must have function. They need to make the lens ring opening a lot bigger for a practical use.

The cover fits the Canon G7 II perfectly and went on really easily. You won't need instruction as it's pretty obvious. The little lens cover does indeed pop up out of the way when the lens opens and isn't visible in the pictures. It might also help reduce lens flair on the wide end though I wouldn't count on that. All the prorts and dials are easy to get to still. It doesn't do much to protect the rear screen, but it isn't really designed for that. All in all, a goo accessory for a g7 II.
