This blood glucose meter is very affordable. With 100 test strips it's only $17. So I decided to give it a try. The strips are widely available. I found it is the same kind of strip I purchased from Amazon earlier. If you zoom the pictures and find the strip look like the ones you are using now, most likely it's the same. So that's good. I remember last time I bought 100 test strips for around $20. Now with a meter it's less than that. Amazing! The meter is fine. It has bluetooth which I had given high hopes. But the manual that came with it didn't mention which app to use and where to get it. Finally I came back to this amazon listing page and found the app is called JH GLUCO. It has pretty low rating at app store that gave me some hint. Yes, it sucks. For some reason, it only transfer the current testing results to your phone's app, not the ones you took without connecting to your phone. Why? Had to manually input those values. Not very happy. I hope they fix this bug.

The app sucks the Bluetooth will not pair the Manuel it referenced has no mentioning on how to pair it to your phone I am unable to use the app it is portable and it dose function with amazing accuracy and it’s a good value for the price it’s easy to test with but useing the app don’t count on it to work you can’t use the app at all it no mention of what app it is had to get back on Amazon scroll the reviews untill someone mentioned it in a review if you want an app for tracking don’t buy this if you want good readings it works great

This is the easiest glucose monitor I’ve ever used. The app makes tracking so simple—I can check all my past results right from my phone. The data storage is unlimited, which is perfect for long-term monitoring.

It's a good basic blood sugar monitor but the app is very basic, and you have to enter the readings manually. Still for the price the monitor works well and it came with everything you need to start monitoring your blood sugar.

Purchased this for a friend. Works great and comes with carrying case. Bright display. Good size and not too bulky to carry with you if you need to.

A lot of issues. 1 - You need batteries and they are not provided. 2 - Tiny and lengthy instruction with only 1 single line on getting the app. 3 - In the instructions it has a website in China to get the app. Even though the instructions are in English the website is in Chinese with no option for an English alternative. 4 - I had to go back to Amazon where they had a video on how to get the app including the name of the app (JH Gluco app) and for some reason there wasn’t the app name in the instructions or on the box. 5 - It only connects to the app when a stip is inserted. 6 - even though it connects easily it takes forever to download readings to the app. ( I just gave up after the second try.) 7 - plus, even after you set up the date and times, for some reason it always reverts the a older 2016 date for 2/3 and a 3:?? AM time. It could be a set up issue, a button issue or it just revert after it’s turn off but who wants to reset the dates each day. So I’m tossing this and I ordered a new different brand. Hope it works better.
