  • Too textured on the bottom, can't get smooth finish with this kiln paper
This is thick and has considerable texture that is transmitted to the "down" side of your glass. Compared with thinner products made by Bullseye or Papyros, Fuseworks kiln paper does not give a nice flat bottom surface. You'll have to sand or file down your items so they don't rub skin or fabric uncomfortably (speaking of making glass jewelry here). It definitely does protect the kiln. I will give it that. ... show more

  • Fusework Kiln Paper
This is fine if you don't have anything else. Glass pieces stick to this paper a little too much when fusing in the microwave kiln and I need to do a lot more filing to smooth the rough edges. Prefer to use a finer paper. This paper is thick enough to use to create some texture on the back side of the glass, or if cut in thin strips, it can be used to create channels in the glass for pendant chains. ... show more

  • Love it.
I'm completely inexperienced and tried to melt some bottle glass in a little kiln that was given to me. Yeah. I should have done more reading beforehand because it tried to melt through the soft ceramic brick that lines the kiln. Then when I tried to take it out, it was stuck and did even more damage to the soft brick. This stuff completely fixes the problem. I used one sheet to melt three batches of glass pieces. I think it is supposed to be single use, because when I removed it after the 3rd batch, it kind of disintegrated. Oops. I'm learning. Anyway, the melted glass pieces slip right off of this stuff. It's awesome. ... show more

  • Fuseworks kiln paper not recommended
I would not recommend purchase of this kiln paper. This product leaves the edges of the fused glass very sharp & rough & the back of the fused piece is very course. It doesn't matter which side of the kiln paper is used, the back is rough & the fused sides are sharp. You are not able to use your glass piece for a pendant etc because of the sharp edges. As soon as I changed the kiln paper to a different paper product, the sides of the fused glass were very smooth & the bottom not rough. ... show more

  • I guess it was as described.
Maybe I didn't read the description very well, but I guess I received what I ordered: 4 pieces of kiln paper, 4 SMALL pieces of kiln paper. I'm not impressed with Fuseworks due to this and other items I purchased at the same time. Pay alot; receive a little.

  • Great for glass fusing
These are perfect to use when fusing smaller pieces of glass in a kiln. I have even gotten away with using them 2-3 times depending on the temps used. Overall a good buy for the price

  • Enjoyable kiln paper.
Out of all the kiln papers I've used, this is the best for my mico wave kiln. It leaves the project nice and smooth on the bottom. Plus, it's easy to clean up.

  • Kiln paper is needed when using a kiln.
I just invested in a microwave kiln and the direction said to use kiln paper so i got extra. You can cut them to size for what you are making.
