Honestly, more in depth reading of the listing would have saved me the trouble. Not a bad desk at all. For the 115 bucks I paid, it's a good deal. I will however be saving up for a bigger, more robust desk with actual drawers instead of fabric. Pros- The desk is fairly sturdy when assembled. They included an extra screw and nut of each size, which was nice because one of the nut threads was damaged. Assembly was very easy, even with the included "throw away" tools. The finish is nice considering the price. Cons- The desk is very shallow overall. The main desk does not leave very much room for anything other than the keyboard amd mouse. The monitor shelf is even worse with how shallow it is. Both monitor stands hang over the edge, front and back. The lower pc shelf is not big enough. I was able to fit my pc by removing the upper shelf on that side, but even then it barely fits. I may drill new holes to install the shelf above the pc. There won't be a ton of room for much more than a pad of paper though. The fabric drawers are absolutely terrible! I am so disappointed in those. I would be fine with everything else if the drawers were the same crap particle board covered with a cheap laminate, but thats on me for skimming the listing. Whoever thought to make a fabric drawer needs to have their designing rights stripped though. "Insert expletive to convey frustration in fabric drawers! " ... show more

I’m transitioning to work from home and bought this desk for my home office. The product arrived before the shipping window and has the best, easiest-to-follow directions I’ve ever seen. At no point was I second guessing what goes where or what part I was holding. It was very easy to put together and everything aligned perfectly, but it was time consuming. I did this by myself and it took me around 3 hours, and I imagine if you had someone to help it should only take 2 hours to assemble. The design is amazing and I’ve already received lots of compliments! It looks like the picture and amazing in my home. The wood is sturdy and doesn’t seem to chip or scratch easily. Really solid desk. Comes with extra hardware in case you lose s few. The LED lights are ok. Overall, Ikea quality for low price. Only downside is that its width is a bit too small to fit a 3D printer on the desk.

    • Depth of Desk Leaves A lot to be Desired

I think this desk is fine for those who don't require a lot of depth, and who aren't using a monitor larger than 24". The depth of this desk is about 19" making it a bit too cramped for what I find comfortable. The viewing distance with a 27" 1440p monitor is also too close for comfort. As I look around my desk I find that the length is probably fine, but again, the depth leaves a lot to be desired. The stand is an alright feature, but again, due to the depth my 5" bookshelf speakers and 27" monitor kind of go over the edge a bit on the monitor stand. I do like the stand it has for a mid-tower desktop (it fit my Lian Li Lancool 207 with a couple inches left over for head room). The filing cabinets are made of that cheap material you'll find in a lot of the cheaper "faux wood" furniture they have out there. The LED strip lighting would not stay adhered to the underwall of the stand, so that was gone within a couple of days. The power strip works fine, no issue there. For the price it's not bad if you are comfortable being close to your monitor and have smaller gadgets to put on your desk. ... show more
