Perfect for moving furniture over hardwood floors and rugs. It's easy to slip them onto the furniture legs. The furniture basically glides over the floors and rugs. I wouldn't permanently cover the furniture legs with them, though. They are fuzzy, making the legs look like they're wearing socks. But they're great when you have or want to re-arrange sofas, love seats, and recliners to temporary or permanent locations.

When I acrylic poly coat my hardwood floors 2-3 times a year really can use these sliders. The fabric booties are ideal for this as it works better at not scratching or leaving marks in freshly done floors for sure. No touch ups now. I found glue on felt pads useful but after a year or two they often fell off or failed. These are much better.

I got these pads to protect my vinyl flooring from a very heavy wooden table. I used the X-PROTECTOR pads with the provided covers. Unfortunately, when I tried to move the table, these X-PROTECTORs did not slide across the vinyl floor very easily so the table would slip off the X-PROTECTOR pads. I ended up using some felt protectors which could be screwed into the bottom of the table legs. This worked well for my situation.

I just installed lifeproof vinyl flooring and I needed something to protect the floor from scratches when moving the couches. I was using the carpet ones before and never had an issue so I thought this would be perfect. Well the soft piece you put over the slider comes of very easily so when you push the couch they come off and you end up sliding the couch legs around on the floor. I was able to catch it in time before it did any damage so now I'm left with sliding the couch a few inches checking to make sure they stayed, fixing them if they didnt, then moving it a few more inches and so on and so forth.
