  • Used on wall panels!
Color: Black
Definitely use gloves! This stuff is awesome and goes a long way! Wanted to wax a black feature wall in my camper renovation. Very satisfied with how smoothly this stuff applies. A little goes a long way too.

  • More like a top coat than a wax
Color: Brown
The product arrived in a very small bottle and without much protective packaging, though thankfully it didn’t break during delivery. The consistency is thicker than expected. I first tried applying it directly to my coffee table, but it didn’t go on very smoothly. After reading the instructions more closely, I was surprised to see that it’s supposed to be diluted with water. That was confusing to me, since wax is usually not water-soluble. This makes me think it may be more of a topcoat for chalk paint, but the listing isn’t very clear about that. Because it appears to be water soluble , I wouldn’t personally use it on outdoor furniture, as I wouldn’t expect it to be very water resistant. The finish was another letdown for me. The photos suggest a shiny look, but the description doesn’t actually state that it provides a glossy finish and in my experience, it did not. Overall, it’s an okay product, but the results weren’t great for my project, and I’m not a big fan of it. ... show more

  • Love it!
Color: Black
I used this on some vintage picture frames that I have been bringing back to life with chalk paint. This created a wonderful depth of tones in all of the detail areas of the frames, giving them a true vintage look while still being completely revamped and looking new. It didn't take too long to dry and it didn't have an offensive smell. Defitely worked great for my project. You get a decent amount, much more than I needed for this project, but I know it will go to another good use in the future. Happy with results! ... show more

  • Does not blend well
Color: Black
I got the in hopes that it would work as well as another brand that I use that does not come in black, it is not very forgiving when applied, so practice with it before putting on your project

  • Wax On, Wax… Uneven? A Milk Paint Protection Adventure
Color: Clear
Value: 7/10 Function: 7/10 Ease of Use: 6/10 I ordered this 100ml canister of furniture wax to seal my milk-painted upcycled table. Which promises a force field of protection, lightning-fast drying, and zero odor. In the words of Meat Loaf, two out of three ain’t bad… ? Or maybe it IS. My first red flag? Opening the lid to find… liquid-y wax? Can there be such a thing?! Doubt crept in, but I soldiered on. Applied it to my tabletop. Be careful as rubbing too much seems to thin the paint in spots. It did dry in hours, with only a whisper of odor that vanished fast. It did leave a slight sheen however, an uneven one. At this point I’m hoping it will at least protect the table top. I’m willing to settle for no more cup rings of shame. At least until I’m motivated enough to refinish. Verdict: Paired with milk paint, it’s a way to protect your painted finish. Be prepared for a finish that is more ‘rustic charm’ than ‘showroom shine.’ The real test? Will it survive my family? Only time (and a few more coffee spills) will tell. Stay tuned for the sequel: Wax vs. Reality. ... show more

  • More like a sealer than traditional wax - set expectations correctly
Color: Clear
I ordered the Clear version of this Bluebird furniture paint wax to seal some chalk-painted pieces I've been working on. The 100 ML bottle is compact and reasonably priced for the amount you get. First impressions - the consistency surprised me. It's more liquid than the paste-like wax I expected, almost like a thin topcoat. So it is easy to apply, but different than other versions Ive used. The instructions mention diluting with up to 10% water if needed, which struck me as odd since traditional wax isn't water-soluble. This made me realize it functions more like a water-based sealer than a true wax. Application was straightforward using a cotton rag. It goes on white but dries clear within about an hour. The finished look is a subtle matte sheen rather than a high-gloss finish . I'd recommend practicing on a test piece first, as some reviewers noted it can be unforgiving if applied too heavily. My take: The product does provide protection for painted furniture, and I appreciated the fast drying time and minimal odor. However, if you're expecting a traditional furniture wax experience with a rich, buffable finish, you may want to adjust expectations. ... show more

  • Love it
Color: Brown
I used this wax to finish a vinyl display base for an outreach booth — and it gave me the exact matte warmth I needed without the stink or mess. The brown tone is rich but subtle, and it blends well with raw wood and MDF. I applied it with a cloth, let it sit for 20 minutes, and buffed it out — no tackiness, no residue. What really stood out was the lack of odor. I used it indoors during a print run, and nobody complained — no headaches, no chemical smell. It dried fast and didn’t bleed into the vinyl overlay. If you’re doing booth builds, gifting custom wood pieces, or just want a clean, safe finish, this wax delivers warmth, control, and install-tested ease. ... show more

  • A complete lie
Color: Clear
This is not wax. The directions say to “dilute with 10% water maximum if required,” but wax is not soluble in water. That’s impossible. Also, this is a liquid, not a paste, not a solid. A water based liquid, apparently. The fact that it’s for chalk paint should have no bearing on its abilities. Wax is wax and can be used on anything, just about. There’s no such thing as “chalk paint specific” wax. I have them the benefit of the doubt and attempted to use it as a wax. It didn’t work. It dries to a sticky glue-like mess, and completely ruined the wood I tested this on. It’s probably obvious by now, but it does not buff off. I suspect this is actually a glaze, and that a language barrier is to blame, but that’s no excuse. Words matter. If you can’t be bothered to ensure your product uses the correct words to describe that product, then you deserve all the blame when customers get upset. I wouldn’t be given a pass for selling a car and calling it a mobile home in the ads. This seller shouldn’t be given a pass for selling glaze and calling it wax. Do not buy this product. Don’t support lazy cash-grabs like this. Your dollar deserves better. ... show more
