Update February 2021: 8 months after purchase, with about5 pounds on the shelf, it totally randomly came apart, shearing off each plastic leg entirely. See picture. This shelf went together very easily and was surprisingly sturdy. It doesn't look like plastic either. I loved it. It's just been sitting there with my decorations on it. I've dusted it twice. Today, I went to dust it again, and found it wobbly. Odd given no one has even been near it. Upon investigation, I discovered that two legs between the top and second shelf completely, and cleanly, sheared off where the shelf meets the two pieces. Just snapped off. Amazon is a nightmare right now for shipping and returns, so, I contacted the company for support. The email links don't work, all three. You have to paste it in your email. I'm not expecting much. If the company helps me out, and it actually doesn't just break again, I'll let you know. Update: after two weeks, the company hasn't responded to either of my emails. Returning it. Don't deal with this company as the product is shoddy and there is zero customer service and support. ... show more

I knew these were cheap when I bought them. I even told my fiance, "these are both the cheapest bookshelves I've ever bought AND the cheapest bookshelves I've ever bought" (referring to both the price and the general quality - particle wood and plastic. But they were THE PERFECT SIZE for a spot that I wanted to add a bookshelf so I bought 2 of them and hoped for the best. A day later I ordered 4 more (!!!). Yes, they're cheap. But they actually look pretty good when they're assembled and if you're not putting priceless antiques on them, which I'm not, they work quite fine and hold up to some pretty decent weight (i.e. books, a few reams of printer paper, etc.). I honestly expected to be returning these when I bought them, would NEVER have expected to essentially triple my order, and would have called anyone a liar if they said I'd be leaving a 5-star review. Was expecting wider shelves and to be more sturdy. They sent a zip tie and anchor for the wall. You cannot have more than 15 pounds per shelf on it or it tips. Although it is easy to put together, it is not sturdy. Other issue is a horrible chemical smell. My dining room reeks of the chemical smell from the shelf. ... show more

Excellent for the price. Not as sturdy as a wood table but does amazingly the job. I needed to declutter my kitchen counter and I've found this. 🙏🏾 I just displayed 3 tiers because it was too high for my kitchen and I used the 4th under my sink cabinet. On the top shelf is the microwave. On the second is my mini oven and on the bottom shelf is the rice cooker and things I put here and there. The bottom shelf is definitely the sturdiest.     • Simple and Satisfying Shelving, but be Informed

The first thing that caught my eye for these shelves was the price. WOW! Prime it and get it fast (if you need some fast inexpensive shelves)! I needed a set of book shelves for my 12x12 apartment bedroom to get things up and off of the floor. These are absolutely doing the trick and more. Assembly was easy and they went up super fast. The also look, at a distance, very nice and of good quality. The shelves I received have a cherry veneer on the shelf tiers. The tiers themselves are made of a very nice high density compress board that feels very solid. The interconnecting poles, ehh, I have mixed feelings about. DO NOT BE CONFUSED. These poles are NOT METAL. They are plastic. They seem to be injection molded and have a fair bit of flash remaining on the seams and on the threads. This is what you are getting for the very reasonable price. Also Familiarize yourself with the dimensions of these shelves in their assembled state. They are a moderate size but they are not too big with regards to their footprint. They do, however, have massive potential to hold a lot per set! That ends the negative part of the review. I like these shelves a lot. Like I said before, the look good and were very easy to assemble. I have no doubt they are going to do what they were intended and will hold what they are rated to hold. Good job! A recommendation. Buy more than one set of these if you plan on using them or need a cheap, fast and space efficient set of shelves. All of the pieces fit together and make easy work of having custom arrangements. For instance, I bought two sets and have a current configuration of a 5 tier and a 3 tier sets of shelves. Super handy and it helped me to make my room more comfortable. Especially for the price it would almost be irresponsible to only buy one set or even a smaller set. So in conclusion, these shelves work. Do not buy to be wowed. Set your expectation low for quality but very high for convenience.
