It currently holds 55 books, but I can still squeeze in a lot more (especially on the bottom right). The quality of it isn’t the best, which is expected from a $20 shelf, that’s why you can’t put more weight on the shelves on top. So if you want to maximize the space, do it on the bottom shelves. At the same time, you can still put things on top of it (as long as it’s 10 lbs and below!) I plan to put 8 paperback books on top soon once my books get delivered. But overall, it’s worth the money! And easy to assemble and has no missing parts. However, just know that they didn’t provide a screwdriver, so make sure you have one at home when you order this. ... show more

I am happy that I got this product. It is a great size, and the quality is good. It is not very heavy. It was easy to assemble, and there were no missing parts. It's sturdy. The only comment I might give that the screws are exposed which is not a big deal for me

This shelf was easy to put together, is just the right size, and is very cute. With the low price, I knew I was getting a simple shelf, of course. However, as I peeled off one of the label stickers for the shelf pieces, if peeled off some of the pink color underneath. So before even using the shelf, it already has damage just from removing the factory label stickers, which was disappointing. It still works great though, and the peeled off area is not super visible now that I have some items on the shelf. I like the depth of the shelves and how the color pops from inside the shelf. The bookshelf was pretty easy to put together - as just a single girl it took me about an hour. You need a hammer and screwdriver for it, which aren't included. It includes sticker to cover up the screws, but as you can see in the 3rd picture, they don't perfectly match the color so it looks kind of bad up close or if you have direct light on it. My shipment didn't include the 2nd back piece for the other half of the shelf. I don't know if it was supposed to be one solid piece of wood stretch between both halves, or if I was just missing one, but it was definitely intended to have both. It even included enough nails for both halves. I tried to go to the company support website, but they're down. So I doubt I'll be able to put in a ticket to get the remaining piece I need. I guess it works without it, but it's a lot worse looking. I guess that's what you get for $34. UPDATE: I was finally able to get support on the company's website and they sent me the replacement part to fill in the remaining back piece. It didn't come with the nails for it, which is a little inconvenient, but it looks like you can just use the standard tiny nails you can get cheap at a hardware store. ... show more

This is by no means a high quality book shelf, but if you're looking for a small shelf capable of holding a few books, this is definitely it! The weight capacity of each shelf isn't the highest, but for the price I didn't expect it to hold much. Each shelf is rated at about 15lbs per the manual, with the bottom and the top being able to hold a bit more than that. Overall, it's a good shelf for the money. ... show more

It shipped pretty fast. It was pretty easy to assemble (about 35 minutes with a 5 yrs. olds help) and came with instructions and all the parts. Once it was all together I loaded it up with books and I was surprised how much it can hold. The only reason I gave this product four stars. Is because of it not being sturdy. But the good out weighs the bad. It is very pretty.The size of stand is decent. I had to turn it on the side due to two reasons. It not being sturdy. And the top part of the stand not being wide to fit tv. But once I turned it on the side the tv fit just right.
