I was so excited to order this. However, when it came and I assembled it, it had some broken parts and definitely not what I was expecting (oil stains on the back panel). The product itself isn't worth 2* but, I'm giving a 5* review as I let the seller know that what I received was defective. Instead of having me returning it and it going straight to the landfill, the seller let me know just to keep it. While it's been Jerry rigged and definitely a lot smaller than expected as I was wanting it in my closet to help with organizing, it now sits in the laundry room. I can put my dryer ball's, essential oils (for the dryer ball's), laundry detergent, scent boosters and my oxyclean inside of the cubby. While it looks out of place and definitely not the best quality (definitely not worth $79 or even $50) I was able to still put it to use instead of it rotting away in a land fill. I recommend spending the extra $50 and getting a better quality cubby. I'm just thankful that the seller seemed to be aware of the issues and had a quick fix to this issue ... show more

    • It’s supposed to be a closet organizer but we used as a bedside table in the dorm.

Honestly? My daughter had seen a picture of someone else using one of these as a bedside table in a dorm and she said this was what she wanted so I got it for her. It’s not as sturdy as I would have liked as it’s put together using just screws there are no locking mechanism ThingamaBOB‘s to make it more sturdy. My daughter was not able to put this together by herself looking at the instructions even though she’s been a straight a student almost since kindergarten and she’s now in her third year of college. Luckily for her I was there and I have some experience reading the diagram instructions and so I was able to help her put it together. It did not come with all of the hardware needed to put it together as far as tools goes it had all of the screws and what not but we had to have our own screwdriver. Personally I would not recommend this as a bedside table but because it’s what she wanted I did it and she is happy with it and that is what is important. ... show more

Just finished putting this shelf together - there is so much good to say about it! I've put together manufactured furniture many times over many years, and this is the best EVER! First - the time estimate given by the manufacturer is accurate - it took a little under an hour. The engineering of the pieces is truly amazing - they FIT together, ACCURATELY and tightly. The screw holes align, the hardware fits and locks where it should, and the structure is firm and secure. I can assure you, this is rarely the case with manufactured furniture. Usually you have to settle for one of the above; all three is really amazing. I attribute it to better engineering from Malaysia, rather than crap from "an Asian country with aggressive trade practices." - construction: this is NOT just vinyl-covered boards screwed together with a piece of cardboard tacked to the back. Each shelf is part of the overall support of the whole, and the back of each shelf is an individual piece that slides accurately into a pre-drilled groove on all 4 sides. The instructions are easy to follow - mostly illustrations - and it's clear that the steps are well thought out. Following them in order is essential - they are in order for a reason. - appearance: this shelf unit looks very nice! I was primarily interested in function and price, so good looks are a bonus. The well-fitted pieces make clean lines and a sturdy appearance. The size is accurate as described, and shelves are spacious. As to the white stickers - there don't seem to be enough of them, but so what? The function and quality of the shelf if far more important that a silly sheet of white dots! (If you really need more white dots, dash down to the dollar store and pick some up.) I didn't even put the dots on, as I'm using the shelf in such a way that the sides (where the screw heads are exposed) are not visible. I'm extremely pleased, and I'm definitely going to get more of this brand of furniture! ... show more

Overall, this bookcase had the perfect dimensions to fit in a small/tight floor area and wall space of a bedroom, and handle plenty of books and other items. White color of bookcase matched white paint of trim in bedroom. If using the higher-tier, narrow bookcase version (like this one) around small children, recommend securing bookcase to wall or nearby fixture (need additional hardware to do so) to ensure it won't tip over when unloaded or loaded. Recommend using a ratcheting screwdriver (not a drill) during assembly. Pros: - Limited/minor flaws in components - Decent hardware - Pre-drilled holes for all screws and dowel pins - Routed, precision slots for easy fitting of backing pieces - Very good packaging - Able to handle desired loading (15 lbs) on each shelf - Easy to relocate/position after full assembly - Pretty good price ($36.97 total, including tax and free shipping) Cons: - Labels on components sometimes reversed or rotated 180 degrees - Instructions do not clarify direction of finished side of component for assembly; had to back out of a few steps about midway through assembly when realized that one of the shelves had been installed upside down - White-colored stickers to cover screw heads for aesthetics are cheap, somewhat transparent, and look tacky, and thus, were discarded - Holes on finished surfaces for countersunk screws are not countersunk ... show more

Bought three of these for $34 each. Prior to that (July 2022) I think they were close to $90 each. If you can get it for under $40 then it's a great deal. Assembly recommended 2 people and estimated 50 minutes. I worked solo and did it in a little less than that. They seem sturdy and I only had one issue with assembly. One of the back boards wouldn't slide in because the grooves were a little off but was able to remedy it with a plastic mallet. I liked that the back board slide in and that it's not 1 piece but two sections that go together. I disliked that the bottom of the shelves is unfinished and the cheap plastic white stickers to cover the screws (which I didn't use. ... show more
