SO SMALL!!! This should not be labeled as a bookshelf! Does not fit normal sized books standing up. I think maybe two of my paperbacks fit and that’s it. I don’t even think it would work for children’s books. I should have paid attention to the measurements but luckily I’m able to return.

I ordered the Furinno Basic 4‑Tier Open Shelf in Amber Pine and honestly wasn’t expecting much from a sub-$60 bookcase—but unpacking it changed my mind. The particle‑board planks feel surprisingly solid, and the laminated finish in amber pine brings a light, warm veneer that fits nicely against my bedroom wall Furinno ships it in flat panels with clear instructions, and I had it assembled in under 30 minutes—screws and dowels line up neatly, making it ideal for DIYers or renters. Once together, the dimensions (11″ deep × 17″ wide × 35″ tall) proved perfect for tight corners or to lounge beside my desk. Each shelf holds up to 15 lb (60 lb total capacity), so I’ve used it not just for books but for plants, decorative baskets, and gear—without any visible sag. The CARB-certified composite wood feels durable and easy to wipe clean as needed, just a quick damp cloth works great. The open shelving design helps lighten the small room rather than crowd it visually. However, it’s not all perfect. The laminated finish can show scratches on corners if bumped—and Furinno advises heavier loads go on lower tiers to prevent wobbles. Also, the back panel is closed-style but not reinforced, so it’s less suitable for side-by-side modular builds or high-vibration areas like near doors. This Furinno shelf felt unexpectedly premium for its price. It’s not a behemoth, but it’s sturdy enough for everyday shelving, organization, and even light décor. Especially for small spaces, dorms, or as a secondary storage perch—it’s dependable without being bulky. Is this a five-star shelf for any price? No. Is this a five-star shelf for THIS price? Actually yes! For this price, this shelf is surprisingly good. I'm using it for physical media storage. The size works wonderfully.

Was looking for better quality than walmart, which it was. But half if not more of my books are too tall to fit. Very disappointing. Would have been perfect if not for that fact. Also, you screw in the shelves so you cannot adjust them.
