this is good for three shelves of 12 inch books. it's width is around 24 inches. So it's not big shelf in that regard. BUt it can fit easily into a smaller area. It is easy to put together. I just wish they made a bigger width wise one of these!.

Went looking to fill an open spot after rearranging furniture post christmas tree takedown. This shelf fit in perfectly in a spot I needed something. The instructions were simple enough, everything fit together well, and the end result has held up great. I did ignore the weight limit (I had assumed that the bottom shelf touched the ground, but there is a trim piece and it's slightly above the ground). I placed a 55lb adjustable dumbbell on the bottom shelf, and didn't have any issues with it holding the weight. It's been a couple of months with it sitting on there without issue. ... show more

Was not difficult to put together and holds a lot more than I expected. Definitely recommend this bookcase if youre on a budget and dont have a lot of space.

    • Impossible to assemble
I've assembled a lot of Ikea, etc. furniture -- I'm pretty good at it -- but this was impossible. The screws were impossible to screw in. Horrible product!
