First, this was $16. I'm not expecting miracles! With that perspective in mind, it's a fantastic little writing desk. Looks great in my weird under-the-stairs area that makes no sense. I've tried to make it a sitting area and now I'm attempting to make it a writing area. We'll see! The desk took me about 20 minutes to put together by myself and I'm really happy with it. Simple, easy to set up, compact study table! It is an easy going 20 lbs max weight limit table. Takes about 30 mins to set it up. Best for college students studying on laptop, specially during winter ;) No scratches or damaged delivery! Good product and great service by Amazon!

I am thoroughly impressed with this table. I read other reviews where there was a question about stability, but it is fine for my needs. First of all, it was easy to assemble for me. Everything fit well. Pre-drilled holes were all in the right place and right size. Directions were fine. It took like 25 minutes to assemble. Once assembled and everything was screwed in tight, the top just snapped in. So happy. It seemed very solid, yet light. It looks good. It is sleek. It fit into a 30-inch width space. I use it as my computer table and it doesn’t even touch the back wall so the cables fall back behind. I have one large monitor and my laptop on there. The heighth is good for me for sitting down and I can even scoot myself in and lean back since the opening under the table is unobstructed. Great price of $20.00 for such a functional table. I needed a cheap small desk to study at for a year or two so I didn't want to spend a ton of money. Its big enough to fit my 19" laptop and my notes, no problem. Its not that sturdy alone, but I have mine in a corner and that really helps. It also came with a mark right on top of the desk but since I'm just using this to study on, I don't really care. Basically, you get what you pay for here. Definitely recommend if your ballin' on a budget and limited space. ... show more

It does the job. I only use my macbook air, my cups of pens and pencils and a few folders on it. Wouldn't recommend anything heavier like a printer or anything. Very good for the price. Would definitely recommend to anymore who needs a small study space. Also, very simple to put together. I did it by myself as a 20 year old college student who is not handy at all. It fits well in my studio apartment so I recommend it if you have very little space to work with. ... show more

Perfect desk for small spaces. I got the black espresso. This desk saved me from continuing to do my work on the floor since I have no room at my place to fit a full size desk. It arrived quickly. This was the perfect size, perfect for a laptop and it fit easily on the small free wall of my room without taking up much space. At first I was disappointed because there is a lot of exposed particle board. It was not only a distraction but it had a bad sawdust smell that comes with unpainted particle board. I found some black acrylic paint, flipped the desk over, and painted the exposed areas of the desk. Boy did it make a huge difference and it classed it up a bit. Make sure to paint only the exposed particle board, not the veneered surfaces because it will just peel off those. Use masking tape on the edges because paint will pool so you don’t want it dripping off sides. It will slowly absorb and harden. Only giving 5 stars after I painted it. Without the touch up paint I would give 3 stars and recommend buying similar desk from ikea but you lose on the delivery times there. Watch this item. Price fluctuates. One day It was $40 the next day it was $6 cheaper. I heard someone got this for $16. They will not price match. ... show more
