I am not sure if I like these boots or not. They are cute and comfortable, but look almost nothing like what is pictured, being much taller and narrower. They are supposed to be "mid calf" and although they possibly would be on anyone over 6 ft tall, they are not mid calf on 5'2" me, or even on my much taller friend. The shade of red is not the dark, rich red like in the picture. They are a bright red and are only saved from being a tacky looking bright red by the darker accents, which - going by the way they smelled on arrival - are spray painted on. They are narrow and the toes are rather long, with at least an inch and a half of shoe past my toe, so they make my feet look bigger than they are. I normally wear a 7.5 but with this style I would probably have fit better in a 7. They don't look bad so I might decide to keep them, once I get over the disappointment of them not being like the picture. Also, they did not even ship until 5 weeks after I placed the order, as if the boots aren't made until they're ordered, which I have a hard time believing in this era of mass production. I get a delay between order and shipment, but FIVE weeks???? That's just poor customer service. So be warned that once you order, they will take forever to get to you.

Such cute boots but they had a very strong chemical odor! They laced up the whole length of the boot, but ohhhh my goodness, it was so hard to get the boots on and off! There's no give so I had to loosen them so far down! They WERE very comfortable to wear all night, standing on a cement floor at a fundraiser though. I might try and have a zipper installed to facilitate putting them on and taking them off.

Ordered half size bigger and they fit good. Only thing I don't like is lacing them every time I want to wear them. Would have been great if there was a zipper. Ordered the brown color is nice not yellow or orange.

when shopping online, you are putting your trust in the company/person who is offering products or goods for sale. The buyer is putting their trust in the product representation/photo and in the description being as in detail and truthful as possible. I ordered the black and brown ones. Unlike some of the others, mine did not smell funny. The brown ones are wonderful, just as advertised. The black however, are NOT black, they are grey. When I inquired of the company, they told me there would be "variations" in the black.......well sorry but I not color blind and I have seen variations, but this is a flat-out different color. I had bought them for a costume because they are cute and would have match great, if only they were black. Someone, in one of the reviews I read, said they were going to "paint" them black. I may try black polish and see if I can get the true black, like represented in the photo on their advertisement.
