  • Stable, High Visibility SUP
The media could not be loaded. I've grown up on the water my whole life, and love everything about it. I've had kayaks for most of my life, but have just recently picked up a few SUPs for me and my friends to use. I'll admit that Orange isn't my favorite color, but it is high visibility, which should help me stand out when I'm paddling across some of the larger rivers near the ICW here in Georgia. This is my 3rd SUP, and my 2nd SUP from this brand (FunWater). I can confirm that this is a well-constructed SUP that will last a while. My experience with this SUP kit confirms that it is a great entry-level paddle board that doesn't break the bank. The first thing I did when unboxing was check to see how well it all fit in the carrying case. The case is ample large for the paddleboard and all of the required accessories (paddle, fins, pump, hose, etc). The carrying case is "right-sized' for the paddleboard and all it's accessories. There is enough room in the bag for some extra items if you want to carry them (like a life vest, dry bag, etc). I unrolled the inflatable paddle board, connected the bike pump and hose, and started pumping it up. It took me between about 10 minutes to get the board inflated in the recommended range of 12-15psi. At 13 psi I felt like it was firm enough, and stopped there. I then installed the fins on the bottom with no issues. I then took the paddle board down to the saltwater creek at high tide and tried my luck on the board. One important note is that this SUP is 33" wide, which doesn't sound like much, but it is 3" wider than my other SUPs, and I can REALLY tell a difference in how easy it is to balance on this board. I didn't lose my balance at all on this time (compared with 3 times on my other 30" wide SUP). I adjusted the paddle length a bit until I got it comfortable for me, and after a few minutes I was going up and down the creek with ease. The EVA foam padding on the top provides a good gripping surface for your feet (bare or with shoes). I'm about 225lbs and 6'-1" tall and, again, I felt like it was easier to get my balance on this board vs the narrower board. The board also provided ample buoyancy for my weight. I found it much easier to make sharp turns by reversing rather than trying to force forward from one side, I believe this is because this board has 3 fins (perhaps if I just use the large middle one it will be easier to turn with forward paddle strokes). The fins definitely kept the board going in a mostly straight direction. Since I liked how compact and travel-ready this paddle board is, I also started brainstorming how I could have this double as a type of kayak. I sat on the board and used one of my kayak paddles and found it very easy to maneuver. I liked this so much that I plan to order some additional D-ring eyelets and glue them on this paddle board so that I can attach a kayak seat for some back support (this looks like it will be an inexpensive modification). After this initial use, I rinsed the board off and let it dry, the next day I checked it and it hadn't lost any pressure, so I feel confident that it is constructed well. It also packed back in the bag just as easy as it did before I inflated it. So far, I'm very pleased with my first paddle board, and can't wait to load this up on my upcoming trip to central Florida (to the springs I go). ... show more

  • Can't Wait for Summer
We made the mistake of ordering the FunWater SUP Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board on a cold, snowy day and when it showed up, the snow was still melting. The entire family sad that we couldn't get out on the water to try it out. So, we did the next best thing (well, maybe), and inflated the paddleboard in the front room to "test" it out. Our other paddle boards are made from a rigid material and not inflatable so this definitely is different, but once it was blown up it felt quite solid. It came with a nice little instruction booklet and tools in case something needed to be repaired. One of my favorite things about the board is the compactness. The bag itself could use a little bit of help such as interior pockets for the fins, so we put those in a gallon size bag and then into the big bag. ALL of the components fit into the carrying bag which is amazing, I was so worried it would only fit the board and I'd have to find alternative bags for everything else; but like I said before, everything fits in the bag including the pump with room to spare! We can't wait to get it out on the water in the spring! ... show more

  • Nice!
Well made, easy to setup, and easy to use. It does take some time and arm workout to pump up with the hand pump. It’s a nice size. Not too bulky when in the carry case, so easy to transport. No defects or issues.

  • ‘Solid’ inflatable board
Very good value for the quality of board and all the accessories you get with it. Pumped it up in about 12 minutes which is a workout and may get an electric pump and top it off with the manual to save my old arms. The pump is not the greatest but so far I haven’t come across the issue of the pump failing or breaking which seems to be a widely occurring phenomenon with SUP kits. At 10’6” the board is a good length for a beginner and has a little more width than others to help stability. This is particularly helpful if you are planning to use the board for yoga or as a makeshift kayak. For the latter you would need to adhere your own D rings which is the major omission I could find on this craft, but it’s only major if you care. I would like to mount a kayak seat and use my kayak paddle occasionally for fishing in a seated position so I’ll need to look into how best this can be done. All in all a sturdy, quality SUP which tracks well and where all the accessories together with the SUP itself can be packed into the provided backpack for ‘ease’ of transporting (just don’t expect to transport - on your back - for too long!) I hope you found this information helpful 👇. ... show more

  • Easy to inflate and assemble
This was easy to put together and inflate BUT, I need to learn to balance. I'm surprised how stable it is and how easy it is to get on and stand up, but if you don't start moving, it's easy to tip yourself over.

  • Outstanding value
An affordable entry point into standup paddleboarding. The only cheaper way onto the water is just a swimsuit. The fact that it's inflatable and the board and all associated gear fits into a backpackable bag means storage and transporting aren't a concern, you can ride a bike to the water and get a good workout even before you dip a paddle into the water just inflating the large and stable board(inflating this by hand is a substantial endeavor). The fact that it is inflatable shouldn't mean you dismiss it as a pool toy, I don't know how they achieve it but when fully inflated you would be excused if you couldn't tell it was inflatable. The board becomes very board-like with very little discernable flex in any direction. I've never seen any other inflatable device that seems less like an inflatable. ... show more
