The replacement was too hard to slide the clamp down, to open and close the net. I returned that one, and went back through my old purchases to find the info on this one. The net looks nice, and folds up small enough to put in my 30 liter backpack. We take it every fishing trip, and it takes up very little space in the pack. It feels sturdy, I pulled on the net and it held up nicely. I believe the netting is rubber coated nylon. I think it should last a long time if you take care of it. ... show more

My hooks still get tangled in the small holes. If the net had larger holes it would be perfect. I still like it and still use it but larger holes on the netting would make it way better and easier to get my lure back in the water

I was under the assumption this was a telescopic net and it isn't. So this is a bummer. It does have a rubber, playable rim, which is great. The locking mechanism is not the greatest. It is almost non-functioning.
