The pieces in this book get progressively more difficult as the student moves forward and allow a pianist to dip their toes into classical music without having all the knowledge to play some of the more difficult pieces.

  • Good resource for my purposes
I use these to get popular or topical (Christmas, etc) for little transitional moments or even just a piece to play for a congregation's enjoyment. Don't have time to work up a bigger piece all the time and these give you a bare-bones structure to embellish.

  • covers a lot of the familiar tunes
I can't play the way these composer intended, but I certainly can do a very very water downed version. It is not so simple that I get bored. But it is great for someone with busy life style and just want to relax in front of the piano. My 6 y.o. can do most of these as he progresses in his lessons. So a "duet" is possible - just have to move over an octave ... show more
