The media could not be loaded. Absolutely love these! They are so much fun to make. With some help (well, maybe lots of help) even my 5 year old daughter was making them. I initially watched a "how to video" several times before proceeding. Once I started to making my own as I followed directions, it was all clear and easy. I do wish the clear sheets came with pre-cut shapes. No matter how well I traced them, the clear shapes never perfectly lined up with the molded parts. I might try to precut these using my die cutting machine. The molds themselves are good quality. None in my set had any defects whatsoever. We had no issues de-molding either. I definitely recommend this product, probably the most fun resin project we have done so far. Stock up on some fun glitter confetti if you are getting those. Everyday now, my daughter asks me to make more. Now we have so many shaker keychains, we don't know what to do with them.

This is the second set of letter shaker molds I've ordered. The first set ended up in shredded pieces because it bonded to the resin as they cured. This set has been perfect. Not one has refused to release the cured resin. The molds are a good size, and I love the mini versions. While it comes with an oil injector bottle, truth be told, I hated trying to fill the bottle, because it's fully opaque black and you cannot see how full it is while you're filing it up. After the third time of overflowing the bottle, I ended up switching to a syringe and needle. I just suck baby oil up in the syringe and then stick the needle into the shaker to fill it. I've made a couple dozen shakers for gifts to give my students this Christmas, and I'm very happy with how they're coming out.

The molds you sent are of excellent quality. Its taken me many, many tries to get one to turn out well, however, the molds had nothing to do with it. These instructions should help others new to the craft. Fill each of the molds with your color choice. Allow to cure. Remove from mold. Trace the outline onto some clear, thin plastic. (But not as thin as plastic wrap for foods.) Select your theme for each of the shakers, or use the same theme for all. Into the completed mold place small beads, sequins, glitter, sea shells, or other small things that you want to move around when you shake it. Cut out the drawn-on plastic... Be careful at this point that the outline of the piece will be fully covered. You can use UV resin to glue the plastic in place. Other glues that you can use... E600, super glue, or even a small amount of 2 part epoxy resin. Drying times will vary. Then to seal the shaker completely, add a thin layer of UV or 2 part resin. Look along the edge of your covered piece. There will be a tiny hole through which you can add oil and water via a small needle or such device. Remember to leave a little air to help movement. Carefully wipe off any liquid outside of the piece. Now use a little glue, uv resin, super glue or 2 part epoxy resin to fill that hole. Once dry give it a good shake to see what the movement looks like. Now that your basic shaker is complete, Decorate the outside to coordinate with the theme inside. It takes practice but I have found that a carefully cut and placed plastic will make or break your project.

This was my 1st ever resin art project and the kit came with no written instructions! I had to watch a bunch of YouTube videos on how to make resin shakers and just winged some of it. Itvwould've been nice to have instructions on how to properly clean their molds too. I guess I'll be looking up YouTube videos on that too since I wasn't able to get them all the way clean yet. They are cute as heck but I made a lot of mistakes and messes. Still not sure if I did it right or not but I do know they are sealed and aren't going to leak unless they are drilled into! Lol. It was fun and if the kit had came with written instructions for beginners like me then I would've gave it 5 stars.
