  • Beautiful hair!
Size: 20 Inch Color: # 1 60 Platinum Blonde
Ok so I read reviews on a ton of different brands of tape ins before deciding on these. I wanted good quality that didn't break the bank. I think I succeeded! Let me answer some of the questions that I know I had when I was trying to choose... Length/number of packs : I wanted my hair to be over halfway down my back.. Past the bra strap area, but not all the way to my butt. I ordered two different lengths, 22 inch and 18 inch, because it saved a little money and I know my stylist would be cutting alot of them to layer it and blend into my natural hair. The 22 inch was exactly what I wanted, it hit right around my lower back. I ordered 2 packs of each, total of 4 packs, but my stylist only ended up needing 3 packs total so I still had a whole unused pack for next time. Quality of the hair and tape: the hair arrived beautifully packaged with netting around the bundle to prevent tangling during transit. I was so impressed with the hair itself, it is so soft, shiny, the color was exactly as pictured, and it didn't shed from the tapes. The tape itself was good, it held in place in my hair well. My only complaint is that the tapes were not "invisible"... If someone looked closely and my hair was moving around, they could be seen. But I learned how to style it to prevent that. Durability over time : I kept these tape ins in my hair for almost 8 weeks. I did my best to take care of them properly, I braided my hair at night to sleep, I used sulfate free shampoo/conditioner, washed my hair 1-2 times a week, and hydrated my hair from the middle to the ends every day with a lightweight hair oil. However I also was a little rough on them, as I used a hair straightener on my hair 5-6 days a week, and I dyed my hair a couple of times. Overall these extensions held up very well! I had to learn which products worked best for them though. After about 3 weeks I noticed three extensions were looking a little rough, dry, more frizz than I liked. But I tried a few different conditioners and leave in products, and I found that if I apply a generous amount of hair oil at night (the one I use has multiple types of oil in it), avoiding my scalp and roots so the oil didn't get on the tapes, and braid it right after applying oil, go to bed, and when I unbraided in the morning my hair would be smooth and shiny. This improved the frizz and dryness so much, and I was happy with them again. They also took the hair dye well, I dyed them silvery pastel almost gray at one point and then a fairly bright purple. They looked great in any color! I attached pictures of each. After about 7 weeks my tapes had grown out to a point that they were not able to be hidden well anymore and several of them were coming loose, although not falling out. At almost 8 weeks I decided to take them out, which I did on my own at home. Taking them out took a long time because I needed to remove all the adhesive without damaging my real hair, but I did it and my natural hair did not seem damaged at all. Overall I am very satisfied with these extensions! I am currently deciding on new ones to buy and I will definitely buy from full shine again. I may go with fusion or u tip though, instead of tape, as I've had u tip before and I loved the fact that you could not see anything at all to give away that it wasn't your own hair. With u tip I was also able to put my hair into basically any type of ponytail, bun, ect, and you never saw anything that looked unnatural. However with the tapes, I couldn't pull my hair up into any kind of high ponytail or style without the tapes showing. But with either choice, tape in or u tip, full shine is an excellent brand to choose! And if you have actually stayed this long to read this insanely long review, you rock!! Lol hope this helped! ... show more

  • The BEST!! But color can be inconsistent
Size: 18 Inch Color: # P18/613 Highlight Blonde
I’ve been meaning to write a review on these for awhile, and I’ll add pictures eventually. But I wanted to get on here and thrown my two cents in anyway. I’ve been wearing tape-ins for over a decade. Prior to CViD I purchased them from a professional vendor and would buy 3 bags at a time for approximately $200 each. Once things started ‘changing/shutting down/income slowing down’ etc, it became VERY clear that I needed to figure something else out. (Even the quality of the super expensive professional ones went down). Hence how I got here. After trying many many other brands I have found Full Shine to be consistently the best. Now, part of this is because I’ve found the products that help to prolong and protect them best, and have a ‘system of care’ that helps them stay in place and last longer. I’ll add more about that later. But for now what I wanted to say is that when you order these I highly suggest you buy way more than what you need with the knowledge that some of the won’t match the others. I wear the blonde ones that are one shade lighter than the platinum ones, and out of every 3 packages I order at least one is too dark (too much toner), and often it is 2 out of the 3. I don’t think I’ve ever had it be all 3, but I’m sure you get my point. I am sometimes tempted to try a different brand, but the fact that these don’t tangle (with the write products and care), do match my hair (with the knowledge that I may have to buy and return several before I get the right ones), and that they ‘break off’ at a reasonable pace. (Sorry, they are ALL going to break to a certain degree if you are curling them and styling them often). Some of the things I do that help: 1.) wash my hair with a sulfate free shampoo and never apply shampoo directly to hair. I use a beauty bottle with a spout to mix shampoo and water together for a super soapy mixture that works perfectly, and makes it easier to clean between the tape-in layers. 2.) I separate my hair prior to conditioning into 3 sections, one on the top of my head were I have no extensions and hold it with a hair clip, and two sections of the lower hair with the hair extensions in, one on each side so that they lay on my shoulders kind of like low ponytails. 3.) I use a hair mask in place of a regular conditioner, let it sit for at least a few minutes (typically while I’m shaving my legs etc), and NEVER take it up all the way to the tape-ins. Stop at least two-ish inches below the tape-ins because the mask/conditioner will seep upwards a bit. 4.) when it’s time to remove these I use 90% straight rubbing alcohol in another beauty/squeeze bottle. You will want to let it sit/soak the taped part for at least a few seconds to break the adhesive down, and then it usually slide off pretty easily. 5.) I don’t wear these high up on my head. I put them in starting at the bottom and layer them in a way that they curve a tiny bit. This is because I wear them up as often as possible as it keeps the damage to a minimum. (When I’m sleeping, running errands, working out etc). I also will lift them when I’m putting them in to make sure there is enough of my own hair to hide the tapes before putting them all in in case I need to replace/relocate any. I wear 2 packages now because I don’t need my hair to be as big as I once thought I did. I’ll also add, I rewear mine probably 3-4 times each. I trim them often to make sure they blend in with my natural hair. (I also do this if for some reason they start getting tangled, which doesn’t happen often, but sometimes if I don’t have enough ‘hair silkener’ in it does happen). Final note, it’s easier to order them longer than what you think you need and then cut them to the length you like best, and sometimes the longer ones go on sale ;) ... show more
