I bought this bed for soon to be rambunctious 4 yr old. Dad was going to wait until mattress arrived, but the little guy found it! Insisted he and dad build his bed! They was able to build it in a couple hours. Dad did go buy a sheet of plywood, as he was afraid that the slats just wouldn't give enough support for the mattress. He said it was as a precaution. The slide isn't as steep, and it's extremely secure to the bed. I have a VERY happy 4 yr old grandson who absolutely LOVES LOVES L O V E S his new bed!!!!

The product itself is fine, quite average. The instructions were not included although they were sent fairly promptly after requesting them from the seller. However the instructions sent had the parts labeled in letters and hardware numbers and the actual parts and hardware were labeled the opposite. Also the instructions sent were for a twin bed and we ordered a full so they were off.

This product is just ok. Nothing impressive. I purchased this for about $350. I was able to figure out the assembly reasonably. Took me about an hour and a half to put together. Several of the pieces were not labeled, or had the labels fall off in transport. This made it a little confusing but I was able to get it figured out. Sturdiness is questionable. I would imagine the twin size would be sturdier but I purchased the full size. It is a little wobbly for a kids bed. I weigh 175 pounds and my 4 year old is about 35 pounds and both of us can lay in it together just fine. It holds the weight no problem, so I have no concerns in that area. However, my concerns come with some of the behavior associated with kids, such as jumping. Of course my kid is excited about his new bed and wants to show all his friends when they come over. It takes about 30 seconds before they are jumping on the bed. I don't feel it is sturdy enough to handle this. I just have to manage the kids and stop them from jumping. Is what it is. As far as value I feel it was overvalued a bit due to the sturdiness. I see it is now being sold for $200. This is a much fairer price for the quality of the product. Overall, my kid loves it and enjoys his new bed. I just question how long it will last.

The unit started off easy to assemble. After the half way point ran into issues with holes not being drill all the way thru. Lag bolds are cheaply made hex heads that must be used with a hand tool. Outside of that, the he'd seems sturdy and it held my weight(190 lbs) on the ladder and bed.
