  • Great bars
I tried this bar a couple of years ago on my endurance framed bike and I loved them. Fast forward and I have a second bike that is more of a racing frame and I bought this bar for that bike too. The bar is priced right and it worked for me……..twice.

  • 4.5 stars
I'd probably give this 4.5 stars aside from the design choice of having the flare and the way the bars are measured. FYI: They are measured at the hoods and the drops flare out a few degrees. So, in my case, I ordered a "42 cm" the area where your hands rest when on the hoods measure 40 cm and at the flat part of the drops they measure 42 cm. I don't mind the flare too much, but I think I'd probably prefer none. Can't really comment on weight, but they're not the lightest bars around, but they're not boat anchors either. The shape otherwise is great. I love the short reach and I find myself in the drops a lot more now. I'd highly recommend these if you need a different size bar for fit or if you want to upgrade from an older deep drop or crummy (older style) ergo shaped bar. I do with they had markings for placement of shift/break levers to make things easier to line up. ... show more

  • It's slightly more comfortable than the stock Cannondale handlebar
It's slightly more comfortable than the stock Cannondale handlebar. The reach from the drops are a little better and for me, having smaller hands made riding in the drops a little easier. The width is measured at the drops so I have to get used to riding at slightly smaller width at the hoods which, I believe, my body will get used to over time. I also didn't realized it had the glossy finish where the logos are at, but I can get used to it and it doesn't look like that detail is mentioned in the item description. It'd be nice if FSA had markings on the bars to place the shifters. Not sure if their other bars have that feature. Bontrager makes bars around this price point, maybe slightly higher, with those types of markers. Overall, I'm happy with the bar and probably continue using it on future bikes. ... show more

  • Measurements not clear
42cm measured 40cm center to center on the hoods, the bottom of the bar is 42, the drops are 12cm which is off...

  • When you want a little better ergonomic for class bar lover
There's no perfect bar period, let me be the first guy to tell you so. if you really like the classic bend of handlebar but you wish you have a little bit more comfort in the drop, the omega compact is the answer. I spent a lot more than in the drop because i am very comfortable using the compact bar, the only part i would like to change is the reach, it's on the short end and i have to get a longer stem to get the extra length. Not a weight weenie bar by any mean, but if you like the classic bar(or hates ergo bar) but you want a better ergonomic, this is the bar you want. ... show more

  • Love the shape
I was using a ergo bar with larger reach and drop, which is lighter, stiffer, more aero, and of course more expensive. Hiwever, what I really like about this fsa compact is the shape, which gives me smooth drops, more comfortable tops, and more clearance between my knees and the handlebars when riding off saddle. Really good handlebars, and I would definitely recommend these. My future upgrade for the handlebars will still be fsa compact for sure! ... show more

  • Eased my neck pain and easier lever access
If you have next pain, you should try these. Slightly more upright in drop position. Also much easier brake lever access for me in drop position.
