Description

The Melissa equestrian-inspired tall boots are made from hard-wearing antique washed Italian leather in a pull-on design. Contoured through the ankle for support and the most flattering shape, they have a modernized topline with a newly updated Frye signature button detail that sits just below the topline providing a tailored look. Slight heel with leather soles. Antique metal hardware. The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When homesteading drew adventurous New England families to the West during the mid and late 1800's many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey. Today Frye remains true to its roots with its line of heritage boots, but continues to innovate as it introduces chic new handbags, pumps, and sandals to its collection.

  • Been Wanting These for A Very Long Time
Size: 7.5 Color: Mahogany
I've been wanting these boots since a teenager, but never able to afford them. Cannot believe I got them for 119.00 (129 with taxes and shipping). Once on, they fit like a glove, but here is the caveat. I bought a half size larger, and still it's a bit to get the width of my foot in, but easy to pull off, so I'm stretching it with a boot stretcher. Otherwise, I'm very happy with these boots. Will last me for many years, I can tell. Love, Love, Love these. ... show more

  • Great quality and comfort
Size: 7.5 Color: Black Extended Calf
Size a half size up I'm normally a 7. I've had these for over a year now they're still standing strong. I always hold off on the reviews.

  • Very pretty
Size: 7 Color: Cognac
Wish the pulls were on the outside of the boot like they used to be. I need a long shoe hirn to get them on as the instep is pretty tight- but this slender boot shape is what makes them so elegant. Fit is exact! Don't size up or down.

  • Gorgeous boots but very difficult to put on
Size: 6 Color: Cognac
I absolutely love these boots, but like other reviewers also had difficulty putting them on. I have a small foot, size 5 shoe, but bought them in a 6 to wear with thicker socks. I needed to put on a nylon-type sock to get my foot in. I don't believe I have a high arch and have never had this issue with any other boots I've purchased so it just may be the angle where the shaft meets the bottom of the boot. I ordered a boot horn so will see if that helps so I haven't given up yet! ... show more

  • Beautiful!!
Size: 8 Color: Redwood
This is my 4th pair of Frye boots from amz warehouse. I have literally saved hundreds of $ on each pair! I got these pair for $60! There is not one single scuff or scratch anywhere on the boots, including the bottom! These boots are very classy looking and feeling! They fit like a glove! I bought the size 8, my normal size, and they are perfect!! They are superb quality leather, looks, smell and feel! Cant tell you how much I think they are beautiful!! Will look great with skinny jeans, dresses and skirts! I bought two pair of the more western looking boots, which are also perfect, and I would say these are a little more dressy than those. Those western boots are still super cute and will look great with skinny jeans or sun dresses. These are more classy for a day at the office or a fancy date. The western boots dont come up the calf as high, they are a typical normal cowboy boot height while these are def higher up the calf. I am 5"6 and they come to about 2-3 inches below my knee. Western ones are about 6 inches below my knee. I just cant wait to wear all of them out! People will think I spent a ton, when I actually didnt! I am hooked on amz warehouse! Also bought a Frye and Coach purse, and both came in absolutely perfect condition, and I saved hundreds! These are gorgeous!!! Only thing I dont like about all 3 pair of boots is the bottom is like walking on ice! There is no tread whatsoever! I bought some stick on treads from amz (5 pair for $9" and slapped them on and now they are perfect! Living in northern Wi I def needed to have some tread on the bottom! I think they would also be super slippery on a wet floor, or a tile floor without the treads on the bottom. Could not love my Frye boots more! Beautiful!! :) ... show more

  • M Width too narrow
Size: 7 Color: Black
Love the simple style but M is too narrow for me. I could only wear with thin socks; won’t work in winter for me.

  • Good Quality, but not a ture wide calf.
Size: 9.5 Color: Redwood Extended Calf
I had been looking for a good quality leather boot that was wide calf. I was tired of quality that was being presented for wide calf boots and I did not want the zipper in the inside. The zipper either had to be in the back or not there at all. After searching for some time I had narrowed down my selection to a few different brands. I was really attracted to this style. It fit all of my requirements. Real leather, wide calf, and no zipper. After reading several product reviews about how this boot was not wide calf for some people, but fit fine for others, I was a bit skeptical. I eventually found this boot and other brands I had been researching in a local department store. I needed to try on these boots before I bought them online ( the store did not carry the color I wanted and it was a bit cheaper too). I tried on the extended calf. For my left foot, the calf area fit perfect. I knew it would because of a sports injury that caused me to loose some muscle. But my right calf, that was bit of a chore. It mad much tighter and definitely NOT wide calf at all. I was able to make it work, but I knew the leather would eventually soften and give way a bit and I could not gain any weight! The actually foot area was a lot more roomy than it needed to be. It was was closer to a 10 than a 9.5. I’m not petite by any means nor am I huge. I’m a solid semi-athletic build. And these boots are pushing it if you have muscular calves and built close to Serena Williams. With that being said I went ahead with the purchase on Amazon. I absolutely love the boots. I wish they would have added more space in the calf area and not so much in the foot area. But overall not a bad buy. I know they will last me for years to come! ... show more
