I was looking for soft knit cotton PJs as part of a multipronged effort to reduce the impact of hot flashes on my sleep quality. I ordered these and hoped for the best. First, they run slightly big, which is great for overall comfort. They aren't so baggy that they twist and bunch up as I move in bed. They also aren't so big that they lose shape and look sloppy. They are surprisingly cute and I would be comfortable having them on in front of strangers if it came to it. The color is rich and pretty. I got the teal. I thought the trim was black but its actually navy blue. Even better. The material is summer weight, light, airy and breathes well. Very pleased. Lastly and most importantly, I slept well for the first time in several weeks. I still had hot flashes of course (after all, I am a woman of certain age) but the breathable material meant it was slower to impact me, allowing for earlier tossing off of the blanket and regulating my temp, which got me back to sleep almost immediately with core temp more stable. This pajama set was more than I was looking for, but the price was right so I decided to try it. I had myself convinced I'd be doing *another* return...but I was pleasantly surprised! I really only wanted pajama pants because I prefer to wear some of my favorite t-shirts with them. And a big issue I've been having with pajama pants is they never seem to be long enough, especially in winter. I never had this problem until recently so I didn't think it was just me. All my go-to brands were suddenly getting shorter. I don't want ankle length pajama pants, I want them dragging on the top of my foot. I'm a standard 5'6" so normal pants should have been just fine. Happy to say these pants are NICE and long. They drape nicely across the tops of my feet and the trim along the bottom is a nice touch. The fabric is thin, but soft, and will work well for me almost all year long here in Georgia. No pockets, which is a bit of a bummer, and the shirt could be a couple inches longer for my taste but is ok. The sizing runs a bit big because these are super stretchy. I could probably have gone down 2 sizes if I wanted a more snug fit but I like my pj's loose. ... show more

While it is soft and comfortable for sleeping, I would recommend sizing down if you prefer a more fitted feel.
